Based on what I've read from this thread, you seem like a trustworthy guy. I've PM'd you to see if you have enough left to fill an order. Can you let me know what you have in stock? I'll send for an order based on that.

Thanks in advance.

With stock the way it is, my advice is to just go ahead and place your order.  If he can't fulfill it, he'll refund you, but at least your spot will be reserved.  I sent him some BTC a few weeks ago when BitMain messed up, and he refunded it promptly when he couldn't fulfill.

Agreed.  He's a straight-shooter and has always, always been extremely professional with my multiple order.

I don't have any doubts about the OP. I should have been a little more clear. Based on the thread and people's responses (Hey philipma1957), I'd have no problem sending for an order. However, it is my opinion that a confirmation of remaining inventory is something easy to do and something that I'd rather wait for before ordering.

Aye, but I imagine he'll give priority to those who've already paid him.

Speed (it's the same chip) and wattage look the same, but there is a monster heat sink on the U2.  Anyone know of any other difference?

well there is a resistor which would allow for a tiny bit more  volts if swapped.

with that big heat sink I am thinking they could clock to 2.2 or 2.4 if they switched that resistor.  if the new batch coming in a bit cost 15 btc for 500 sticks and clocks to 2.4gh with that nice big heat sink it would put a bigger hurt on any and all fury sticks.

The obvious drawback with those oversized heat sinks would be skipping every other USB port on the hub.  Why fix U1 (with no significant improvement on performance) when it ain't broke?

Agreed, never had problems with heat on these guys.  That said, if this model allows for more overclocking abilities, the heat sink may be justified.

depening on the USB hub one uses, not a problem, most skip a slot anyways

the Ant U2 I like with the bigger heat sink. would save me the extra trouble finding a bigger heat sink block and time to drill and tap holes  Grin

heck I may even want to buy a few more of them now.

Hoping Iluvpcs fixes up his computer glitch, so I can findout the cash price so I can get a invoice cost Cheesy

with the 19 port stud hubs  you can fit and run 16 easy.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=418087.0

so if the stick has a voltage mod with the resister I am thinking you can push 2.4 to 2.8 on this hub.

price is .03 a stick about 18 usd if yyou buy in bulk.  now this mod means you must have a really good hub .   but since I have no idea if the resistor was changed it is all guess work

I don't skip ports to maximize capacity.  I have a couple of 49-port hubs that I used to fill up with USB Block Erupters and a few Blue Furies (have to skip ports).  I just mine and that's my primary goal.  Though I am capable, I'm not into doing mods for the sake of doing mods just to be able to have bragging rights on the interweb.  There's a place and time for that (I build custom high-end gaming rigs) but I don't believe mining BTC should be one of them.  I just couldn't imagine installing custom heat sinks on 80+ U1s.

I run these overclocked to 2 ghs (clock=x0981). Do these run stable at higher overclock to 2.2?

I agree and to make it worth while you need swap the resister to allow higher volts to clock at 2.4 to 2.8 .  and you need really good hubs.

no 2.0 is easy . 2.2 is meh lots of errors only some do it. overheat easy .

they want a voltage boost to go above 2.0 .  so bigger heat sink different resistor  more power needed.

the chips are in a s-1  64 chips do 180th.  that is 2.8125 gh .  with fans and all other parts an s-1 will do 180gh at 360 watts   .  that is about 5.6 watts a chip . at the k watt meter.   when I over clock u-1's to 2 gh I pull about 3.2 watts at the k watt meter.

you would need a really good hub . I believe the 19 port hubs give close to 3.75 watts at the port which may be 4.7 watts at the k meter.

translation even a really good hub may only let you go to 2.4gh on the new stick
