the hobbit 2 was whatever.. not horrible but not mindblowing to me. the story was dragged out to make some extra $$$ anyways.

i recently saw win/win.. it's a good-feeling drama with paul giamatti and amy ryan. i like that movie better. also saw the way way back, about an awkward teenager who comes comes of age and learns to open up a bit more.

I got to see The Way Way Back a couple of months ago and was really surprised. I was expecting absolutely nothing and ended being a great coming of age story.

yeah, it was better than the spectacular now.. the main kid was too douchey for me to enjoy. perks of being a wallflower was decent too.

of the dramas i've seen recently, i'd rank them as:

1) the way way back
2) win win
3) the perks of being a wallflower
4) the spectacular now

i also saw don jon, which was decent but nothing special. it's awesome that he hooked up with julianne moore, a total milf  Cheesy

I haven't seen Don Jon or Win Win, but I agree about The Spectacular Now.

I think I'll be seeing Rush later on tonight, though About Time seems to be leaving theaters soon too... We shall see!

I have too see 12 years a slave, looks like a good movie. As for Hobbit I slept through the first part, can't make myslelf watch the second one. The Bilbo's house party, which in the book is just a few pages, takes forever to watch in the movie. He made it soo boring there's not even a shadow of LOTR epicness left in this movie.

I know you probably won't see it, but the second movie has action sequences that weren't in the book, yet take up 10 minutes of screen time.

Utterly useless.
Might try it if I run out of options.

1)Seen it, good movie to watch with a girl.
2) watched the trailer - looks promising
3) looks boring but has Emma Watson  Cheesy
4) too boring for my taste
5) don jon is on my watchlist, Julianne? come on... Scarlett!  Roll Eyes

scarlet was annoying in the movie, but i guess that's her character. i liked julianne more, and i'm more of a milf guy anyways  Wink

So Rush turned out to be much better than I expected! I'm not a big fan of F1 and didn't know about the history behind the drivers in the film, but the plot was both interesting and engaging.

Recommended if you have two hours to kill!

Yup! I still haven't watched the first episode of the third season, but soon enough... I love them as an onscreen duo.

totally agree with this guy. RUSH is even better than expected. I even thought I'd start watching F1 after watching the movie. beside the firtst episode of the third part of Sherlock, Rush is the second best movie of 7 movies I've seen in this 2-weeks break Smiley)

I loved, loved, loved the first few seasons of Californication... But it's become a shadow of its former self as of late. Same thing happened with Entourage; they should've stopped the show a few seasons earlier to keep it fresh till the end.

well, it has introduced nothing new.. just the same rehash year after year. it is overdue to retire.

If we are to talk about series I can recommend Sons of Anarchy and Justified. Probably my two favourite ones. Apart from that Breakig Bad is also very good. Somehow the highly advertised shows like Dexter or Walking Dead are geting worse and worse.

dexter is bad because the producer left after season 4.. the writing on that show was beyond horrid from seasons 5-8, especially with the last season.

i watched the first 2 seasons of sons of anarchy.. it was good, but not my type of show.

Yep, the last season of Dexter was absolutely terrible. Especially the last episode. I wish I had quit after 4 seasons!

Just finished watching Riddick. Very meh.

i think the film couldn't find any investors, so vin diesel put a lot of his own money into making it. he might not get all of it back
