May I suggest Mr. Nobody? It's a movie following the three possible lives of a man, with scientific and philosophical undertones. It's great.

Some people are animals and that movie is a sensitive one but a good watch.

Some people are animals and that movie is a sensitive one but a good watch. Animals either fight for survival or avoid confrontation. Humans are worse than that. Only human can rape or beat other person or an animal and have fun doing it. And only human can justify his actions by writing it down and calling law. No morality, no common sense or ethics, just law.

2013 has been a great year for Hollywood films, but I'm sure these have all been posted already. Some less known stuff:
Dog Pound
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978 version) - my personal favorite
Lost In Translation
Killing Them Softly
Training Day

I've recommended that film here a few times. I think the thread is getting to be too long for people to read through, even if most posts are a line or two. Ah, well... I watched Land of the Dead last night. Don't know why I continued after 10 minutes; the opening's by far the best part.

Thought Dawn was alright for what it was, but Land was crap. I haven't seen the original trilogy though or the recent remake.

It's campy, but a lot of fun. I even love its Italian "sequel": Fulci's Zombi 2... Tarantino's a huge fan and got everyone to watch it (especially for the real shark Vs. zombie scene) on the set of Inglorious Basterds.

What was the best horror movie released last year? I want something eerie or psychological rather than cheap scares or paranormal crap.

Would have preferred Mark Strong as Luthor, but will be interesting to see how Jesse will do. Wonder if he will act like Jesse Eisenberg usually does lol.

Yeah, I have trouble seeing him as Lex Luthor too... But Irons as Alfred could very well work!
Who knows...
People are shitting all over Affleck for Batman, but I have a feeling he'll surprise quite a few people.

I'm sceptical, but it's not just Affleck you have to worry about; it's Snyder. The one good thing about having zero expectations for this film is the hope of being pleasantly surprised though, which I hope I am.
