Wolf of Wall Street is a must seeing , to people of this world : economics  , bitcoin etc... , really amazing.

I hate that all of these movies end in a bad way I guess.. :/ but it how it should be.. There is no such thing as easy life. But still MOVIE WAS GREAT. I liked the ending best.

It seems like it is a trend right now in hollywood to have the movies either have open endings or unhappy endings

What ones have unhappy endings? I don't mind ones that are open to interpretation, as long as they don't confuse the shit out of you.

Let me revise that statement, and I will have to think about some of them to list them here (as I don't have the titles off the top of my head).   Many of the films that I was talking about were the ones that got a lot of hype at the Cannes and Sundance Film Festivals and as a result made it mainstream into theaters..

What about Inception?

Great move and one hell of a ending which has been discussed through the internet and no one can give a solid answer.

Any similar films to "Now you see me"? I don't want any mindfuck. With some mistery, but no scarness at all. AT ALL. I like those where thay are slowly solving some kinda mistry and finally finds what they where searching for. Those treasure hunting like Indiana Jones and Lara Croft were good, but i saw them already. With some kinda "real" history would be cool, like Knights Templar misterys or something like that.
Thanks a lot.

Da Vinci Code bored me, I'm not sure what I expected but it was something of a snoozefest as I recall. Doesn't make it a bad film, but just wasn't one that I could get into.

It involves a lot of thinking I had to watch it two times to fully understand the movie.

Angels and Demons was the other movie that went along with DaVinci code I think.  That one was pretty decent too...

Pirates of Silicon Valley (1999) - One of the more accurate portrayals of the rise of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Really interesting to see how these guys went from young nobodies to famous entrepreneurs, and their crazy personalities.

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.

Just saw "The Invention of Lying" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1058017/)
A good light-hearted comedy-drama about  a world where nobody has ever lied; nobody even knows what lying is. Watch it Saturday afternoon with your family and thank me later.

The film was very disappointing and doesn't live up to the book at all. I haven't seen Angels & Demons yet. Think they're making The Lost symbol film soon.

I think as a blanket statement, typically movies don't live up to the books that they were based on.   Common sense would say that the movies would be more interesting than the books, since it is all visual, but somehow it always seems to be the opposite.   It is probably because movies crunch about 10-20 hours of reading into 1.5 hours of viewing.   A lot of people  can't find the time to read a 3 inch thick book, so they have to settle for the movie.

Yeah, that's true and I agree, but I always try to read the book first before I watch the film. One film that is better than the book is The Devil's Advocate. Book is one of the shittest I've read and the film actually has more literary merit.

Yes, that is an oldie but goodie.   I don't usually like Keanu Reeves.   Have you noticed that he is always in movies with some sort of devil involved?   How sick is Al Pacino's office with that massive stone desk and the huge balcony with no rail?   That is the dopest office I have ever seen!

Yeah, there's some great scenes/dialogue in it, none of which are in the book. This is my favourite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGR4SFOimlk

Movie "Limitless" is pretty cool.   Definitely not award winning or anything like that, but definitely entertaining.

The Counselor was decent despite all the negative reviews it received

Are we discussing animated works here to? Only Western movies? Short movies? Certain preferences must be fulfilled?
