I enjoyed "The Purge" and I'm pretty excited for part 2. Not saying it is a classic but the idea of the film it was keeps me wanting more. I like that the film itself goes out on a limb and takes chances if that makes any sense.
Yeah was pretty good for what it was. I liked the horror You're Next as well, and I'm not a big horror fan. Purge was pretty good, "You're Next" not so much. The only thing good about that movie was their masks haha I've never seen your next but thanks for your thoughts on it. I most likely won't be watching that unless I'm bored out of my mind and there is nothing else for me to do haha. They are making a Purge part 2? That outta be interesting |

I don't think so. The theme was unique. And it is having a rating of 5.5 / 10 in the IMDB and 37% in the Rotten Tomatoes. I haven't seen The Purge but those don't really indicate a great film. What makes it unique (without giving the plot away)? I usually like horror films if they're a bit different. |

Well... the future government creates an annual 12-hour period, during which all criminal activity (including murder, theft, and rape) becomes legal. Some people use this time to take revenge. Other vigilantes use it to eliminate the criminals. I have never seen themes related to this in any other films. Felt fresh! |
