What you have said can only be conceived. I think it is hard to do that, even a powerful financial consortium can not do it perfectly. The encryption market is really manipulated, and there are a lot of big whale, I will resist the temptation and not to add leverage, because I know it will be very dangerous.

Means in this forum there are many people who are greedy. I see here many are tempted and want to manipulate market prices if they have the power to do so. That's normal because human nature is always dissatisfied with what it gets. But remember, greed always brings to misery, though initially looks fun.

People have done that before in the past and probably still doing.... but without organic growth we still go back were we where before once these manipulations are over. Tbh by doing this we cheating nobody but ourselves!

Lets not forget manipulating bitcoin affects all other coins out there which is why we should discourage people from doing this as it erodes the confidence of crypto supporters.

I know a lot of people hate market manipulation because most of us don't have the size to affect BTC price. But let's be honest here: suppose you had the power to control the price, would you be tempted to make huge profits by manipulating the price?

2 strategies:
1)
- you sell, btc goes down, you wait until it drops further then you buy cheap and resell after market corrects
- you buy, btc goes up, everybody FOMOs, you sell again

Let's say we're talking about 5% profit you can make per day.

2) you do the same as #1, but with 100x leveraged trading (BITMEX for example). Your profit is 10-100x higher compared to strategy 1, because you use leverage.

Let's say you can make 50%-500% profit here per day (!).

BTW: there are rumours that some big whales actually cooperate and time such events.

Would you guys be tempted to use your powers or would you not bother and let the crypto market grow by itself?

I think everybody must be looking for a profit, but is not it better to profit long-term profit from us looking for a moment's profit .. With us keeping cryptocurrency the same as we give long-term benefits to enjoy together for the future

If I had the capital to manipulate the whole market, I think I would.
Because manipulating the market can bring me enough profit.
The pursuit of profit is every trader's idea.

if it's like that I'd better create a new Exchange instead of manipulating the market, because my compassion is too great for those who have a bit of Bitcoin.

let the Whales dance as they want it, because I have my own stance to create market exchange and welfare broad community .

Simple strategies like this can manipulate Shitcoins market but I doubt such a strategy will work to manipulate Bitcoin market
I want to manipulate the market if I have the power but I would think twice to manipulate the Bitcoin market with this strategy even though I have a lot of money to manipulate the market because I know that Bitcoin market has more power than me, So manipulating Bitcoin market is not as easy as manipulating Shitcoins market

bitcoin market is already big enough that individuals on this forum who see this topic can not do anything about it including manipulation. but the answer is yes and there are many who are trying to do it at least. you can see a lot of idiots on this very same board trying to spread some bullshit thinking it is FUD LOL.

in any case most people prefer manipulating altcoins because it is super easy. they are small, there is not that many exchanges and some only have 1 small exchange listing them and everyone knows altcoins are pump and dumps so they are more susceptible to manipulation. there is also a lot more money there too but only if you know how to pump and dump them or at least know how to spot and take advantage of them.

What i always wanted is to be equal and do a clean earnings. So why would i consider manipulating prices if i have the skills to earn by being honest with what i do. I have a family that needs to fed and because i love them more than anything else then i would stick with my principles to be a simple but responsible human being. I wanted to be a model in my children’s eyes and i promise myself that i will raise them with dignity.

It is not that easy to manipulate a decentralized market that Bitcoin operates in, and the example you cited is a case of market strategy rather than market manipulation.
To be able to manipulate Bitcoin price, the party will need to have a strong influence and also hold hundred of thousands of Bitcoin.
If I have such powers, I won't need to manipulate since money is no longer my problem rather promotion of Bitcoin usage and adoption will be my focus.

You have missed out on many options such as you buy while btc is up and you sell at btc is down, it's just in your imagination.

that is why altcoins were created Cheesy

the answer to your question is yes. but since people can't do that they started creating shitcoins so that they can control them, this is where the premining and ICO funds,... come in. then they started manipulating those. eventually we saw hundreds then thousands of altcoins in the market and they were being pumped a lot every day and the profit of said pumps were easily 50%-100% and more per day.
