I got a bunch of 1x -> 1x pci-e ribbon cabled, but in order to use them for gpu, the one side of the pci-e slot on the ribbon cable itself needs to be cut away with something like a dremel.
How much would you charge if I were to mail you 8x of these cables, put molex on them, and make them gpu compatible by cutting open the side of the slot? some motherboards have this type of open-ended pci-e slot where it might only be 4x el; electrically AND physically, but the end of the slot is open so it can still physically accept 8x/16x.

aaaah Mar2012 the last post! ooops It's cool I will look at a China supplier ...you really sounded like you knew what you were doing so was keen to use your cables. I'm looking for a full set for a 6gpu rig so probably light on the parts for that many. Someone else might be keen though. Thanks for getting back Cheers |
