One good thing that this coin did was take difficulty away from DOGE.  Maybe the only good it did......

Oh it's just that the coin is called NYAN on there for some reason, and Mooncoin was also called NYAN for a while there due to the shitty wallet. Really needs to be fixed, otherwise people will be confused.

Hey everyone, I could REALLY use a helping hand here.

Trying to set up Gui miner to mine moon coins, and I made a .conf file.

I then fired up the miner with the following settings:

Host 127.0.0.1
Port44663
username    -----
password-----

Extra flags  did nothing in extra flags, a list of commands available for this field would be helpful, as well as advice on how to use them

Thread conc12404
worksize 256
vectors 1
intensity 17
gpu threads 1
Stratum NO

Now the miner is running at about 350 khashes/sec, but I have NEVER solo mined before, and I'm not certain if I have everything set the way it should be.  I've heard something about adding extra flags, that help the miner look for new blocks faster?  Is that something I'd want to do?

Is the port (in this case 44663) the thing that is going to send the coins to my wallet if I find some?  I'm just worried, in case ive got something wrong, I dont want to waste the energy mining if I'm not going to get anything.

But I have been at it 30 mins so far, and was thinking that with a coin this new id have maybe found a block by now?  Anyone know the current diff?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

WALLET UPDATE:

We apologize for the lack of a wallet. We didn't intend for the qt source to be placed on the git as it is clearly unfinished. But in the rush to get the source out, it slipped by.

We now have the wallet un-doged and corrected. The source has been committed.

If there is anyone out there who can assist with compiling the Windows and OS X wallets, it would be of tremendous help!

Finally, thank you!

Windows Compiled wallet here, sick of the stupid doge text;

A Moon wallet of only 187kb?

People, be sure to download and click the trustworthy .exe file. Is legit...

I downloaded this just before this posted earlier.   For a donation does someone want to tell me what this is and better yet how to get rid of it?

This is a trojan!! Remove it asap. Its prsent to steal your wallet! Use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to remove it

Current diff is 114 according to cgminer. Wonder if it will balance out.... Dont want it to get too diff. Or is diff an indicator of a coins value e.g. Bitcoin.

mooncoinpool.com is the best! I made my 2.4 MILLION there with my miserable 600kh/s in the first hour and withdrew successfully just fine. I'm still there mining now actually. A great community! Wink

================================
Mooncoin is intended to provide the thrill of big coin hunting and trading but with long-term stability. Based on sane block release targets, Mooncoin should provide years of good mining for all ages and equipment types.
================================

I think I get it now. Good luck with the coin. With all the chaos and pumpin' n' dumpin' going on I hope the coin survives long enough to realise that dream.
