Dropping like a stone.

You aren't supposed to hold onto Mooncoin.
The idea behind it was to mine and dump as fast as possible.

I'm still mining.  People need to look at the bigger picture of the cryptocurrency market.  It is in its infancy and any coin which lasts through the coming weeks/months has the potential to be a small player in an absolutely unprecedentedly large market.

Even a small player in a market that big can turn you a real profit, we just need to keep it moving.

As I've mentioned, the way to keep the currency going is for it to function as a currency - i.e. people & businesses need to be able to accept it for payments.

Coinpayments.net is having the vote I mentioned yesterday to decide which currencies they will add to their payment platform.

Go here and vote for Mooncoin:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397540.0

There are no votes yet for any currency since they opened the thread, so even a few people voting for Moon should get them to add it.  Take two seconds to post in the Coinpayments thread asking them to add Mooncoin.

If you use Twitter, tweet about #Mooncoin

If you use Facebook, post about it.

Do the same with any social media. Dogecoin got a lot of buzz that got it going because people were talking about.  So talk. Smiley

But start by voting for it here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397540.0

Exactly.

This coin needs Youtube videos explaining what it is, give away threads(give away like a pennys worth at a time to people). Tell them "Post your wallet address on this youtube video to get 10,000 mooncoins, and a chance to win 1 million moon coins" Do something like that, post threads on other forums, post the youtube videos as responses to other videos. create useraccounts on blogging websites and talk about it so it turns up more search results.

All of that should have been done to begin with to make this successful. I believe it can happen.

If you want me to promote mooncoin on my Youtube channel I am fine with that, One of my channels has 10,000 total views and has been around for 4 plus years or something like that, so it will turn up in search results. I would accept a few pennies worth of mooncoin to do it, just give me a video I can use is all.

OK, I've just started a Mooncoin giveaway. You can see this post on my site for details:

http://www.worthgodwin.com/basic-computer-training/2014/01/get-50-free-mooncoin-rt-reply-w-wallet-address-plaintech/

and here's my first tweet about it:

https://twitter.com/plaintech/status/419761138427887616

I'm giving away 500 Moon to anyone who retweets the above tweet or who uses the social share buttons on the page on my site.  Reply in the comments on my site or via Twitter with your wallet address and I'll send it.

Everyone who joins in will be entered into a drawing I'll hold in a few days and I'll award the winner 25,000 Moon (in addition to the 500).

Edit: increased the amounts I'm giving away and updated the Twitter link to point to the new tweet

RIP moon coin. I bought at 7 satoshi but had to sell off at 3 satoshi =(
moved on to Earthcoin for now. Earthcoin is going to cryptsy soon. And the developers r doing alot of things on it. You can see that they mean business and not just any dump coins.

The problem is there are probably lots of people that got screwed and hold to it so if the price is going up again it probably won't be sustained...

I think a lot of people would love it to rise just to dump it and breakeven.
It's possible but it will need tremoudous efforts

Difficulty is getting so low that my rusty miner is getting trouble submitting work fast enough before a new block is found.

since there is no premine of devs for bountys..everybody that mined mooncoins are devs

i'll give a 500k bounty for the one who will make a 3 min youtube video to be uploaded by this guy ^ about mooncoin.

someone should organize a marketing plan for this. I am sure it can rise as much as possible. right now there is a huge income to the general bitcoin market, this will effect soon all the altcoins.

Quick Start

Start with registering on our pool & creating workers for your computers. You can use our automated config generator in our workers page and download pre-configured files for your mining software.

EU Stratum Server: stratum+tcp://eu.coinum.org:3338
US Stratum Server: stratum+tcp://us.coinum.org:3338

CGMiner Configuration

Here is sample CGMiner configurations with fail-over support. Given that the stratum server you use fails, your miner software will continue to work with out other stratum server.
Note: You have to change WORKER and PASS with your actual worker-name and worker-password values you get from workers page.

EU
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://eu.coinium.org:3338 -u WORKER -p PASS --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://us.coinium.org:3338 -u WORKER -p PASS --scrypt -I 13

US
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://us.coinium.org:3338 -u WORKER -p PASS --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://eu.coinium.org:3338 -u WORKER -p PASS --scrypt -I 13

  • Our network - We already operate first class & high performance pools, check our other pools over http://www.coinium.org
  • %0 fee - Our network have no fees! We just kindly ask you to donate if you like to.
  • Stratum servers - We have stratum servers in Europe and  United States. Right now we have a total of 4 servers (2 stratum server, 1 webserver and 1 database server) and we are quickly upgrading & adding new servers to stack when we need to.
  • Fail-over config support - In case that the stratum server you use fails, your miner will just continue to mine with our secondary stratum server.
  • VARDIFF enabled - Our stratum servers will shift your work difficulty based on your hash-rate automatically.
  • DDOS Protected - Our servers are DDOS protected 7x24!
  • Automated backups - We get automated backups of our system.
  • Automatic payments - You can set automatic payments if you like to.
  • Fast confirmations - We are quickly processing your transactions once newly found blocks are confirmed.
  • Automatic config generator - Check our workers page to automatically download a generated configuration file for your workers with fail-over support!
  • Continous support - We are eager to help our users! You can ask for support in our forum topic.
  • IRC support - We have operators in our IRC channel and you can chit-chat about mining too.
  • Mobile friendly - We have mobile friendly user interface so you can check your miner's status from your mobile devices
  • Contests - We are regularly creating contests and giving bonus coins to our miners!

Wow. Finally I can post in a main Topic. Firstly great to be here. hehe. Seriously though When will get moon on an exchange somewhere.

Why is their so much ragging on moon? Hypothetically if Moon was pre mined it would have only been a tiny little bit. I mean there is hardly any coins that wern't pre mined especially earlier ones. Are these people just trolls or do they have a valid point.

Will moon coin ever be seriously able to trade on an exchange (Other than Coindup)(I like to visualise things on graphs and I cant see any on Coindup)?

Is anyone lobbying Cryptsy for a position?

Happy mining/trading
