The top chart in swap stats isn't loading for me, except for LTC. Is this one of the glitches that's mentioned in the news section that will be fixed?

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

It'd be fascinating to track USD swap demand over time. Especially now that it drastically increased. I don't recall total USD swap demand (at near market rates) even being $1 million, and now it is $8.5 million.
I've seen this demand disappear without being used, so I'm wondering if it is real or if it some weird form of market manipulation (of either the swap market or BTC). I'm guessing it is real.

So you would be interested in Total Lenbook Volume of Demands (and offers while I'm at it ) over time? Is that what you are suggesting? Nice suggestion cheers Bjorn

Nice suggestion cheers Bjorn It's a bit tricky as I wouldn't necessarily want the extreme values (like demand at 0.01%/day) to contaminate the results. So it might be good to break this into four charts 1) total volume of demands 2) total volume of offers 3) volume of demands within say 50% of the FRR (so if the FRR is 0.2%, then everything from 0.1% to 0.2%) AND all the demand that is higher than the FRR (which isn't being met due to the length) 4) volume of offers within 100% of the FRR (so if the FRR is 0.2%, then everything from 0.2% - 0.4%) AND all the offers that are lower than the FRR which aren't being met due to the length

Tracking the Bitfinex BTC price difference vs Bitstamp would be nice. Though possibly too much work as it would involve a second API (and more of a matter for sites like Bitcoinwisdom).
Most of the time it settles down to a couple dollar difference, but over a week ago there was a $20-$30 premium that lasted for at least a day.

well the multiple api thing isn't much of a problem, but what information will it give us ? What does a price difference between stamp and finex represent? Personally I can't really tell. Differences started after finex stopped routing orders to bitstamp and afterwards we saw a similar price difference we were used to with btc-e vs stamp but now between stamp and finex. So if someone can give me a good explanation of why the price differences between exchanges over time (I can add btc-e in the mix as well) is useful, I will start tracking it (arbitrage?) Well, give me your thoughts and convince me and I'll add it to bfxdata

Some people see a price gap as evidence of a problem at one of the exchanges. This was definitely true of MtGox and the withdrawal delays which ended up in bankruptcy.
If the price gap is more than 1-2% and persists in a regular (non-bull) market - then it is evidence that something is wrong as arbitragers should be able to decrease the gap to that level.
Some people (on the forum and reddit) have been guessing that Bitstamp is having problems - but so far there isn't solid evidence.
I'd give this more priority if the price gap becomes an issue in the future.

Hi all, Just like to share a little update on bfxdata.com. I have just finished a little project I've been working on. I've added 3 new pages to bfxdata.com: Live Swaps for USD, BTC and LTC. The new pages wil give you a real-time view on bitfinex Swaps. So no more highest demand / lowest offer as an indicator of what the current Swap rates might be, but charts based on actual Swap transactions taking place between swap provider and margin trader. Just check out the pages and I think it will be more or less self explanatory when you see them. If not, do let me know. Big thanks to the Bitfinex team for providing me with the swap transaction data! regards Bjorn

Wow great. I'm working on (made my own Python API lib) Bitfinex API for several day, especially to monitor swaps. Estimate earning, alert when something is wrong, alert when a swap lending will finish... Seeing your new page, I noticed mismatch between your web interface and records I get from "Lends" API: https://api.bitfinex.com/v1/lends/usdLends GET /lends/:currency Get a list of the most recent swaps data for the given currency: total amount lent and Flash Return Rate (in % by 365 days) over time. Response An array of dictionaries rate (decimal, % by 365 days): Average rate of total swaps opened at fixed rates amount_lent (decimal): Total amount of open swaps in the given currency timestamp (time) That gives: Latest Lend Rate: Rate , Amount, Date 0.1657% , 30299688.26 , 14:23:29 09/Jul/2014 0.1657% , 30284681.40 , 13:23:36 09/Jul/2014 0.1658% , 29756298.65 , 12:23:44 09/Jul/2014 0.1659% , 29753105.97 , 11:23:51 09/Jul/2014 0.1659% , 29699328.50 , 10:23:37 09/Jul/2014 0.1659% , 29699910.93 , 09:23:48 09/Jul/2014 0.1659% , 29751029.92 , 08:23:32 09/Jul/2014 0.1660% , 29696461.29 , 07:23:44 09/Jul/2014 0.1659% , 29677436.69 , 06:23:33 09/Jul/2014
Then I understand why you state : "Big thanks to the Bitfinex team for providing me with the swap transaction data!" So great job, very useful for me. They just share publicly "aggregate mean" data for lending. Additionally to show data in a clear way, your website gets data that we cannot normally get Congratulations! Those who ask for price monitoring, you can have a look at bitcoinwisdom.com

New menu system doesn't work for me in Firefox. Click on menu - get list of top level menu options. Click on one of them - nothing happens.
Also - I liked the old USD swap view - notably the chart of outstanding USD swaps (and FRR) vs time. That's my favorite chart!

Menu should be working now. You do know that the old pages are all still available, right? just browse the menu and you'll find them. thanks for your bug report. Regards Bjorn

Would be awesome to somehow have an option to filter graphs by duration i.e. if i want to borrow on a 30day term i could care less how many millions are offered on 2day terms and want to see 30day demand/offers graph. Right now i have to manually scroll through pages of USD swap offers to manually spot one for 30 days

Hi, it seams to be a wrong link in header menu
Swap + Price Charts > LTC
redirects to /combined/btc.php instead of ltc.php

I'm actually working on this. I'm adding a feature where the user can select a period (2d <> 30d) and the swaps stats page will display all tables and charts for the selected period. Hi, it seams to be a wrong link in header menu
Swap + Price Charts > LTC
redirects to /combined/btc.php instead of ltc.php
you're right! thanks for pointing that out.

Yes, but not till the price starts going up. Even if the price crashes the swap rate will go up while the price is recovering. I do think in the long term the rate will continue to go down as more people with money use the site as even 0.1%/day is absurdly good by most standards (~44% APR if compounded daily). At this rate you could even take out a bank loan and loan it out and still make a profit. That said, while the price is going down I'm putting some cash in bitcoin-trader https://bitcoin-trader.biz/?ref=dhorks since they've been paying ~0.8%/day lately.
