It's pretty clear that nobody is buying bitcoins anymore.

I'm buying again.  Got various bids in at different levels.  Just waiting for another shakeout like a few weeks ago to see if they get hit again.  I missed my big purchase by about 40 cents last time.  Oh well...maybe better luck next time.

Since this blast from the past is necro'd...

As a follow-up, yup, my 'big purchase' was indeed hit.  Repeatedly until the end of the year.  It was actually a real blessing to have started buying in the $16 range because when it got down closer to $2 it was mindblowing how much BTC one could get for such a small amount of money.

Why is it so hard for the naysayers to realize that there's a worldwide infrastructure being built around this technology, and that this isn't just a silly stupid pretend "stock market" situation happening?

Adoption and faith in the purpose of this new currency is why the value will stabilize and continue to rise.

Long after the initial rush.

you can't appreciate the level of negativity during the Great Depression of late 2011.  let alone the animosity towards Bitcoin.

take some time to appreciate the content of these necros.  there's plenty more where these came from.
