I have tried both port 21333 and 21334. with 21333 it goes to black screen and never starts mining, 21334 gives me pool down error.

Yep, looks like you have the same issue. Is it sure that port is 21333 and not 21334?
If I use 21333 is is simply waiting for ages, when using 21334 it gives me bad credentials error.
Yes, its 21334. There is error in official guide. For credentials, you must set rpcuser and rpcpassword in velocitycoin.conf and use same username and password then in the solo-mining.bat file or whatever name you will choose. |

What are optimal parameters for expiry and scantime? And I assume I can use more instances of miner to connect to single wallet or no?

Something like? --expiry 30 --scan-time 1, if you solo mine. |

OK, I was able to mine one block solo mining so far... looks like it is working...

The webpage http://vcc.altexc.com/ says: I'm shutting down the pool at 1:00 CET/4PM PST
Can't get the payouts to work and that's my first priority so I will have to bring down the pool due to that.
Sorry for the inconvenience, please check back tomorrow and see if the site is up again. If it is, please login and request a payout.
Any shares submitted from your miner until 1:00 CET / 4PM PST will be counted, after that stratos will be shutdown.
It was saying something else earlier when I checked. So there seem to be some activity. Hopefully the pool will be back soon. |

He only ran with half my coins, I had 22k last night at 2am est (approx), ran the miner all night and this afternoon and I still have 22k. I lost my shares on about 1000 blocks, and I had my auto payout enabled which was disabled by the pool. Lets hope what I have left in there makes it to my wallet. |
