Thanks for the reply, But its not a laptop its a GPU Rig which I am upgrading slowly, so far I have 3 x R9 280x Tri-X OC TOXIC And I was going to get another 3 x GPU Possibly the R9 290x Toxic OC version.
And then..... I realised there is another Mini PCI slot, which can be adpated to PCI-e 1x and then to x16 Which means i get another GPU - totalling all up 7xGPU rig
Here are my specs:
i3 CPU4GB Ram60GB SSD HDD1200w Silverstone Goldedition Modular PSU - Peak 1300w & Rated at 1405w MAXIMUM<< IF I GET MORE THAN 4 CARDS I DO KNOW I AM GOING TO NEED ANOTHER POWER SUPPLY POSSIBLY 850w
Asrock Z87 Formula OC Motherboard with the following slots:
- 4 x PCI Express x16 slots (PCIE1/PCIE2/PCIE4/PCIE6)
- 2 x PCI Express x1 slots
- 1 x mini-PCI Express slot
- PLX8605 embedded
- Supports AMD Quad CrossFireX™, 4-Way CrossFireX™, 3-Way CrossFireX™ and CrossFireX™
- Supports NVIDIA® Quad SLI™ and SLI™
*mini-PCI Express slot is shared with PCIE5 slot. <<<<<< I noticed this and I am not sure I understand this, If I have a GPU in PCIE5 with a powered 1-16x riser would that be fine with anoher gpu in the Mini PCI?
^^ This is my main question, I had a reply telling me - "
Depends on how many lanes your gpu-card is using" But as you can see I do not understand what they mean by that, I have been trying to look it up and this proved difficult also. I am back at square one I still need to find out if I am able to use my Mini PCI slot if I purchase a powered MiniPCI -> PCIe 1x Powered adapter

Powered 1x -> 16x Extender cable Which will then allow me to plug the GPU in.
Anyone?
