Paid signature spam in general is being discussed. As of now, the spammers whether bots or people just get banned when caught.

Can't you just warn persistent spammers? Seems unfair to punish everyone just because a handful of newbs spam the same crap all the time.

Punish everyone? As of right now, those that are caught spamming are banned. I don't know what the future holds though.

I meant by potentially banning forum sig ads etc, which sounds like it might be a possibility by the end of your sentence.

The other thing I'll add IN FAVOR of continuing to all ads in signatures is that the main "culprit" (Stunna) does not pay for junk or spam posts and in fact he makes a big deal about apparently going through spam or junk posts and not paying for them.  I could totally see banning certain ads if the advertiser will pay people for junk posts, but that is not what Stunna is all about.

Ban such newbs who are spamming, ban such who are actually scamming in the name of sig. Ban such who are not paying. I have special recommendations who got paid from prime dice so if primedice is doing good work then why are you after it? Did they don't pay you? If they don't pay you then try to go back and check your posts may be you will find answer there.
I am brand new member but I will also be starting when my activity will be more then 10-20. We need to promote good one and throw out scammers.

If anything iv'e been reading my posts more carefully since adding the signature lol. However, I have seen very blatant spam continuously spewing from some members. I agree with Jcw, maybe that rule should be required by anyone paying for post counts

Well I don't mind the ad system itself it helps newbies acquire tiny amounts of bitcoin and we know it can truly be a PITA to get any Smiley
Hero Levels Can just ignore ads if you lurk here till then  Wink (Before we went to activity sure some users used that ha-ha)
That said bots hanging around posting is not supported
TradeFortress had a system based on forum activity to reach a payout amount not sure if it would work as an effective filter option but worth a try if Stunna wants to try to soft filter newbie account posting.

"Stunna" has no time to go through each post.
He is incentivizing each post by paying for it. OF COURSE every single person will pad their post count.

Then you have signatures like mine which pay per month, not per post.

What campaign are your referring to as its not in the main thread for sig-ad campaigns
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=333916.0

I do agree that it does promote padding but really obvious spam and abuse of the system will likely just result in the campaign being closed to new participants then flushed clean, or a lot of hammer bashing over the holidays he-he.

I'll look into offering a fixed amount perhaps going off activity for next term. Until then, if anyone is blatantly spamming with a PD signature send me a PM and I'll make sure to message them and revoke their payment.

The reason I liked the current system was because it gave newer users a chance to get some starting bitcoins, but clearly it is being abused and shouldn't remain. Please accept my apologies for your negative experience as a result of this.

Kudos.  Your intention behind the current system worked perfectly on me.  I was lurking the forums, saw the offer, and decided to register and get involved with this BTC community because of it.  Your offer was the deciding factor.  I totally understand that spammers are abusing the system, and it's too bad they have to ruin it for the newbies (like myself) who are just starting to get involved.
