Thanks guys, it was all designed in Photoshop. I've made a custom style that uses emboss/gray gradient to make a 3D-like metal effect. Each part of the coin I changed the gradient angle slightly to give it more depth.

Now if you could do this in a gold color and use one  big fancy  L like here http://www.keezi.com/lotto/ I think that would look pretty good.
Take a look at these logos people made for quark. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=325086.380 This is the quality you should be looking for at the price you are offering. My friend is a professional graphic designer and Ive seen him do logo's for around $800. Don't settle for crap.

Yeah there are some amazing logos on the Quark thread, I've still got a lot to learn but getting there slowly. Think I will remake this as a gold coin, try and make it more like some of the OP's examples.

That's really good remake, but I think that's not what the OP is looking for though. No stacks of coin piling on the logo, no big "LOTTO COIN" text right in the middle. It needs to be slick, minimalist, and physical... (= 3d version).

Your on the right track to a degree. We want the logo to look rich. Glittering gold and/or letters is a nice touch.

Hey guys, why spend 1BTC and look for logo design in a community where there is no one professional designer?

With the same amount you can start a contest between logo designers, and the community will end up with a truly professional designed logo!

just take a look at websites like 99designs.com or logoarena or google 'logo design contest' and choose the website you like, with 1BTC you will have a great logo, much better than anything anyone could achieve here.
