is the bytom algo not similar to scrypt? if so i ask team red to get a party on  Wink

I also belive bitmain has more powerful chips buth chose to use slower ones to maximize their profits...

Let all get on the train with gpu's while we can ;-) gpu's wil always be able to mine any asic algo just not as fast in power usage.

Bytom pool lis so far: http://miningpoolstats.stream/bytom

the asic they sel is no asic lol: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3870665.0  gpu's wil murder this algo

^^^^

This 100%

They got rid of some unused hardware that was probably sitting on their shelves.  Got to give it to them, they're smart.  Even creating a minable coin to move their garbage hardware, they're pure evil. Anyone who bought an ASIC expecting returns should've known better.

-url option doesn't seem to work well.
miner tries to connect uupool even if I specify antpool by -url option.

Can anyone report on profit?  From what I've been hearing, GPUs mine on a different of the three algorithms.

For example, this is the reported UUpool profits from a $6000 Nvidia GPU rig: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/389630998729719808/447042864308944916/image.png

For all of the idiots that think Bitmain was taught some sort of lesson, you are wrong.  No one ever said this couldn't be mined with a GPU.  Hell the wallet already comes with a built in CPU miner.  The algo is set to work better on deep learning hardware, that is all.  In case you haven't noticed, Nvidia deals a lot with deep learning.  When chips such as these become available, no one will be mining this on GPUs:  https://www.zdnet.com/article/gpu-killer-google-reveals-just-how-powerful-its-tpu2-chip-really-is/   Its mind blowing how people can build these rigs yet have such a small understanding of computing.

Are you retarder or just pretending? Do the math, profits are not great on Bytom.

Come to windows and lets hit those asics. It's not a very big thing but its good to see gpu can do someting aswell. Especially heat drop down i take it as long as we are in these summer days Smiley

DSTM, sp, claymore come on guys Smiley

edit: dont forget to add 19 gpu support please +1

Hasrate summary from this thread

VoskCoin reported someone
86 hs 1050 = 1/8 of B3

foxgiggle
500-600hs on 5x 1060
110 hs per 1060

DTMiner
430 hs 6x 1060 3gb 135W
72 hs per 1060 3gb

eviltuna
500+ 6x 1060
85 hs per 1060

According to whattomine looks like its not that profitable to mine on 1060
https://whattomine.com/coins/242-btm-tensority

It is how ever profitable to mine on a 1050 if you can manage to get it running at 86 has,
I have a 1050ti rig which Im currently trying to run

My 1050 ti currently getting usd 0.75 per day according to wtm mining eth
and if i manage to hit 86 has for Byton wtm = usd 1.1
exclude power cost.

Any way to find the setup for gpu mining this? I would love to test it out.

You can load the miner on a linux box and run it.  I converted one of my SMOS miners over to it.

The link to http://uupool.cn/course/btm is not working - can you load it on some other site for download to help us out?  Thank you in advance

The site seems to be working now - anything special to do for installing the miner ... youtube video you've seen in the past (obviously not this miner but a how to .. otherwise I can check .. just hoping you had a better resource than random looking around.

I downloaded and extracted the miner on (smos/Ubuntu)
     wget http://7fvi19.com1.z0.glb.clouddn.com/btm-miner-1.0.tar.bz2
Changed the address.txt file to my wallet.
I killed the miners that were running. (SMOS Only)
Ran the miner.
Watch the performance 'tail -fn 1 /var/tmp/miner.log'

I had some help with killing the miners. I had to create a bash script to do that. If you are running SMOS then let me know and I will show you how.

Your help would be highly appreciated.  I have SMOS ... just not great with Linux - but can follow instructions.  By the way, the pool site has an ISO you can download for a Ubuntu Linux boot.  It comes to a MinerOS prompt with a login .. no idea what the login is.  Interesting.  http://mineros.cn/#/dashboard

Sounds like a memory thing.  Have you tried allocating more virtual memory or adding more physical memory?  regarding virtual memory... Linux so not sure how to do that or if they do that in linux

Did you have to up swap memory to make it work?  I guess doing a swap file is similar to adding physical or virtual memory as compared to windows.  If you did a swap file what size did you set?  Or... if that wasn't it... what did you have to do to get it to work?
