There is a lot of bitching moaning threatening etc. about hash fast.
If you are in the US and planning to hire counsel (an actual bar certified attorney not uncle bill) let's share some details so we can all present a stronger case.
If you are an attorney who accepts BTC now would be a good time to post to this forum and represent several people.

Yep and post here what we have to go against them with so they can see plain as day...usually you get a lawyer and let them do all the work, no reason to tell HF what your doing just do it.

A point of order: Conduct in this subforum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=139380.0If you feel you need to investigate a party that has scammed you, take it to the scam accusation sub-forum.
Making multiple threads about the same subject is spam.

"Bitcoin enables ordinary people to fight back, to avoid and evade snooping governments, which enact, use and abuse laws that allow them, without due process, to investigate, tax, control and seize privately owned assets." - Leon Louw
“We can say without equivocation that firms like MasterCard, Visa and the TBTF banks like JPMorgan and Goldman hate the idea of ever having to compete for business again. They have grown comfortable in their corrupt world of writing laws for themselves without any regulatory oversight. They enjoy the exorbitant privilege of bilking the American economy with extortionary transaction rates. They are scared of Bitcoin. And they should be. It offers transparency, cost efficiency and anonymity.” - Max Kaiser

Well we would be busy with our miners instead if you would have made some.

DO NOT POST DETAILS HERE. If 100 customers get different attorney's it would be great for the attorneys or customers to speak to each other. I don't care if we arrange a meetup, a skype, talk by SIlent Text, Threema, Wickr, Gliph, etc. Why should everyone pay for full discovery when the community could share some discovery burden through the group. OFFLINE.

I am not a customer, but HashFast has lost my last bit of goodwill with this post. Even if this is against forum rules, that is for someone else to state and moderators to decide. Go team sue-the-pants-off-HF. I only hope Uniquify doesn't get bad PR in the coming storm.

Holy shit. Where did you get the video of me?! ... In any case, this should be in the scam subform— it's getting a bit far afield of hardware, but please feel free to add a to it in the more hardware / delivery centric threads.

Hi all --
I am an attorney and I wanted to let you guys know that, due to the ethical rules, attorneys are not going to be able to post in here and solicit customers. Absent a direct and specific request by a prospective client to potentially retain a lawyer, it's prohibited by the ethical rules.

Lulz. Should I change the title to "seeking attorneys who accept bitcoin ?"

Lulz. Should I change the title to "seeking attorneys who accept bitcoin ?" Most attorneys I know are way too risk averse to accept Bitcoins. What I think is interesting is would an attorney be able to recover in Bitcoins on a contingency case where the plaintiff recovers Bitcoins. That could be interesting, but only to legal nerds like me.

Is there a canonical resource for keeping track of the legal data we'll need in going against Hashfast in court? In case there isn't, I've gone ahead and created a thread for documenting the various versions of their ToS, which should help customers provide their lawyers with copies of the particular ToS they agreed to: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=402364

It's better to make new money than to try and deal with US consumer law.

Yes, it did. Myself and a few other bitcoiners have contracted a lawyer to represent us and we are currently in the process of taking legal action against HashFast.
