If you are in the US and planning to hire counsel (an actual bar certified attorney not uncle bill) let's share some details so we can all present a stronger case.

Yep and post here what we have to go against them with so they can see plain as day...usually you get a lawyer and let them do all the work, no reason to tell HF what your doing just do it.

Yep and post here what we have to go against them with so they can see plain as day...usually you get a lawyer and let them do all the work, no reason to tell HF what your doing just do it.

If 100 customers get different attorney's it would be great for the attorneys or customers to speak to each other.  

I don't care if we arrange a meetup, a skype, talk by SIlent Text, Threema, Wickr, Gliph, etc.  Why should everyone pay for full discovery when the community could share some discovery burden through the group.  OFFLINE.

I am not a customer, but HashFast has lost my last bit of goodwill with this post. Even if this is against forum rules, that is for someone else to state and moderators to decide.

Go team sue-the-pants-off-HF. I only hope Uniquify doesn't get bad PR in the coming storm.

Most attorneys I know are way too risk averse to accept Bitcoins.

What I think is interesting is would an attorney be able to recover in Bitcoins on a contingency case where the plaintiff recovers Bitcoins. That could be interesting, but only to legal nerds like me.

There are many BTC to fiat services for payment acceptance.

Contingency for BTC recovered sounds fantastic and entertaining.

Is there a canonical resource for keeping track of the legal data we'll need in going against Hashfast in court?

In case there isn't, I've gone ahead and created a thread for documenting the various versions of their ToS, which should help customers provide their lawyers with copies of the particular ToS they agreed to:

It's better to make new money than to try and deal with US consumer law.

Yes, it did. Myself and a few other bitcoiners have contracted a lawyer to represent us and we are currently in the process of taking legal action against HashFast.

Result: lawyer gets more than consumers.
