Let's look at the basics !
There are 26 alphabets in English language and 10 (0  1  2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 ) numerics .
Now you know the private keys are anywhere between 52 letters.
It will be something so complicated that humanely calculating it is not possible .
I see my friend who is a hacker ( having top model lappy) Using 3-4 days alone to hack something with a password of like 4-5 words , and trust me the lappy is on whole night charging and working .
Now for these many permutations and combinations possible it will take years !!!!!!!!!!!
No it's not possible ..
Not with the current software.

Share your private key by mistake and your Bitcoin is surely going to disappear within seconds. What's worse is that your Bitcoin is not insured and there's no way of retrieving it.

Good advice! Take this sentence as a proverb ; "Do not give your private key even to your father". It is very important, if someone get your private key then you are vulnerable to all kind of threats. Keep it safe, use 2 level verification and use hardware wallet if possible.

Bitcoin is totally built up with Blockchain technology. Blockchain technology has its own built-in security which cannot be broke. In here you are talking about hacking or getting unauthorized access to an account in crypto exchange or wallet. In here you are referring the brute force attack for an account. This is a trial-and-error method known as dictionary attack. Nowadays most of the exchanges and wallets are capable to handle this kind of attacks. Because of they have implemented anti-brute force mechanism for account authorization. There are many mechanisms for this as follows;

1.       Implementing complex passwords
2.       Limiting number of attempt times
3.       Automatically locking mechanism
4.       Introducing captcha
5.       Implementing two-factor authentication

Although it is possible, it’s not probable at all. I mean so many combinations can be framed. The Bitcoin private key has 64 symbols, now just go into some permutations and combinations. implying there are millions possible private key combinations. If it was so simple like just developing software, many wallets would have been hacked as of now. In a span of 9 years that has never happened, and never will. Brute force on bitcoin wallets is just like a dream with the current processors working at maximum rate.

You know that, to import a wallet you need the private key or your seed. Taking as example the private key (the 52 letters key). It could exist the possibility someone create a software whose function was to try thousands of times to find the private key till it is be done.This would be like the process to find the new block in mining, anyway you can try the times you want in order to find it.

I think this could be a weakness, correct me if I am wrong. Smiley

Yes of course. Somebody can steal the bitcoin in our wallets. All things in this world can steal mostly your loved ones. The knowledge is the one that can’t steal anyone. Be careful to all your account mostly the email. Email because this is one of their target of the hacker. If your email hack there are chance all your account also hack. If possible, change your private key every months and write it so that you can’t forget when you change it.

Yes. I believe that all the thing we have in this world can steal of other people ,it depends on how they do it, so we need to be careful always because hackers are always every where.

Yes, if you don't take care of your security. Without sufficient security measures, you are exposed to various malwares that could be pretty dangerous to your personal information. By security measures, I'm not really talking about antiviruses. While anti-viruses are a good add-on to your computer, they are not fool-proof. Certain variants of malwares are capable of evading detection. The basic security measure you should take is to avoid going to suspicious websites or opening suspicious programs.

The protocol itself can't be hacked. Unless you can somehow get the private keys or get the script and its signature to equate to true, your Bitcoins are pretty safe (other than malwares).

It is very possible to steal, phishing is the one way tools to steal your bitcoin so be careful when opening any link, this is one problem here in crypto now a days, even a most secure and high level exchange site is a victim of a hack, so we are also be the responsible if our holdings being hack, so be careful, nothing here in online world are safe.

I recommend you look carefully at the characters on the wallet before performing the transaction

Of course. Nothing is safe on the internet. Everyone can do anything and we can also do the best for our wallet. So if we are out of luck or something happens to our wallet. then you can not do anything. Keep believing in what you use. And do not save too much.

Bitcoin is a very secure currency that anyone can not hack your wallet what you use to hold your coin.and cant logged in with the proper evidience  or password.and if its not possible or man able to logged there in then he could not send your bitcoin to others wallet...so here is no chance to lose bitcoin or it can be steal by third party its very secure and profitable att the same time.

Hi there electrobit! I have thought for it a long time ago, but i believe that it is still not possible given the amount of computing power people could use. But for those hacker that could tap in to a large botnet, I think that could be possible but with a longer period of time. There are people in the meta posting that their wallet were been hacked and the funds is transferred to another account. There could be reasons why those things happen, the first that i think of is the private keys were not stored in a proper place thus hackers have access it. The second one is the vanity addresses, some say it is not secure but some say it is secure.

You are talking about the brute force attack. It will took quantum computing technology to attain that and even using quantum technology, it will took a lot of time to accomplish that. What more complicated is that some will require capcha or another extra layer of security. There are reports that say their wallet were been hacked or something, but i guess because they have use an online address generation which could leave a copy of the private keys in the sever.

There are nobody who can protect themselves from professional hackers if they decided to hunt you. Even big exchanges such as bitfinex encountered hacking a few years back and so how much to those single individuals. But as long as you have not a large amount of bitcoin then there is no worry  from professional hackers since they are only targeting those who have huge bitcoins. But still even though we are not the target of big hacking groups we can still be a victim to the simple hackers if you are not careful.

Correct, hackers are all around the world. Our money or btc is not safe but with the help of our minds and great system, i think we can definitely handle them.p0

If others could hacked your wallet with this way, i believe there would be no bitcoin  and crypto.
Every flaw of the security should be measured before developer creating the bitcoin wallet.

nothing is impossible, iv'e heard several cases where wallets were hacked, most times is the compromise of the hodler. Malicious sites can be dangerous too

Actually not as long as i save my private key in the safe place and not share it to other people. Bitcoin would be safe if it was done, things that could make people lose his bitcoin because they carelessly shared their private key and did not keep it safely.

Because of block chain technology it is very difficult to steal somebody's BITCOIN. The private key is so long that it is very difficult for someone to remember it and use it later.
