It appears that the Redditor moderator of Catcoin is stealing our logos (or at least mine that is.. Look at page 3 of this logo contest and you can see that they decided to use my logo http://www.reddit.com/r/catcoins/

1. Contest ends on Caturday Night 1/5/2014 @ 12am US/EST time / 1/5/2014 5am UTC. Winner to be chosen by Monday 1/6/2014.
2. The "best entries" as chosen by the kitteh community will then be voted on in a poll-thread.
3. The winning entry will become the official KittehCoin logo (with the blessing of the KittehCoin dev team of course) and the winning designer will be paid an unnamed bounty to be found in the wallet: 1u2LJbXvSKq3NVJe8QFHzsP1fv8ehVqbo. It will be at least 0.06BTC but may be more if my kitteh comprades donate! There is no upper limit!

For reference here is the current "official" logo which I get a very strong sense everyone wants to update. We want something more meme-like and less childish:

Let's take Asia by storm with the Maneki-Neko (Lucky Cat), very appropriate as he is already holding a coin and represents wealth and is UBER popular in Japan and in China. Chinese New Year is coming very soon and this would be perfect, since China cannot currently buy bitcoin with financial institutions, alternate cryptos are essential for the east; China has many miners and trading Kitteh for Bitcoin would be ideal for them and increase popularity exponentially!!

this design is worth serious consideration.  The icon already has worldwide significance and recognition of good fortune and riches.  it would be dynamite to tie traditional symbolism for wealth with kittehcoin.

I think this would be the most suitable. It looks powerful and it would be recognized by a lot more people than we would by using a meme.

I agree with FreePls - there is a difference - non of the graphics of sebastien1234's coin has been copied.

The only similarity is the white cat idea. Anyway, I prefer the kitten look to the cat look.

I think everybody who submitted logos should be rewarded for there efforts - it looks like a lot of hard work went into making them

Ok I've created a forum dedicated to KITTEH. It should make discussing things much easier, please register and post any questions you may have. I JUST got done getting it setup so please excuse the default theme and such.

There is an issue with the "forgot password" and "notification" emails right now, I'll have it fixed by tonight.

So where are you guys getting all of these photos? I was looking to buy a few so that we dont have legal issues but even stuff on shutterstock prohibits use for "Logos, trademark, or similar applications of images". Is this really a logo like they are talking about? It seems different because no one directly profits from the logo, and the coin isnt really owned by anyone. What do you guys think?
