I made a 3 part video series on how to set up Electrum for Cool Storage.

Thanks to @Lavender and @Abdussamad for helping me set it up. I didn't find it that easy, so I thought I'd do a few videos to help others set theirs up.

I am calling it Cool Storage because it is not on a physical separate machine, so I felt it wasn't right to call it cold storage, but I think it gives adequate security if you don't have a spare machine dedicated to offline storage, and is certainly more secure than using a bitcoin client on your main online Windows PC.

If you find it useful there's a Tipping address: 14o6RP2dnyehLCtz6Cdc2vsg2iL6tZ2zNd Cheesy

I don't have a YouTube account so have uploaded to media fire, where the videos can be downloaded for offline viewing if you want, can also be streamed I believe.

Hope it helps someone.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

I've upgraded my cool storage machine to Lubuntu 14.04 LTS. There is no need to do this if you don't intend to spend your bitcoin for a few years. As I need occasional access to my cool storage (for spending), I feel better having a long term support Lubuntu installation. I have created a 720p HD video on how I "moved" my wallet from 13.10 to 14.04. Someone might find it useful.

Any questions, post back to this thread. Thanks for the PMs on the original series.  Grin
