hi everyone. tell me plz, how many 42coins are at the moment? coinmarketcap says that only 0.91, but this is surely false. who has an ability to count the number of coins or eho knows, tell plz.

Look in main.cpp in the function "getBlockValue".

You will see that the number of coins released is blockHeight*0.000042 + special blocks (.42 + .00042 + .00042 + .00042).

I assume the block height is something like 510000 so there are 22 and change coins out there.

This network releases about 31 coins per year so when it turns 2 years old there will be 62 coins in the wild.

Hehe, yeah don't believe the thread subject title.  There is no maximum number of coins.  The network will spit out .000042 coins every 42 seconds forever.

This seems unlikely to change because there is no lead dev and pool operators are happy with things the way they are.

Can someone show me how to solo mine 42coin? I have Windows 8.1 and I'm running 2 28mh Silverfish on a separate laptop that has Windows Vista Home Edition. Can I set up a wallet on this computer(the one that's not running the Silverfish) and mine with the other computer?

you can use my wallet as an addnode:
42 getinfo
{
    "version" : 70000,
    "protocolversion" : 60001,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : *.*,
    "blocks" : 544803,
    "connections" : 12,

addnode=198.100.146.216

please make sure:
1: you have same wallet version (type getinfo in the qt console, and check version and protocol version.
2: shutdown wallet when you have proper version
3: delete all files from your data-dir, except wallet.dat and 42.conf
4: add my node to your .conf
5: fire up your wallet
6: wait some time, and you will sync to last block...

Would love to get back involved with this coin.

Where exactly do we get an official current wallet?

Maybe a new thread should be started with all the pertinent information.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

The best pool to mine 42 coin is Hash to coins. I don't mind if you use my reflink Wink
Pool has no fees and big hashpower on 42.
