nice advice, but i want give 1 point even if the good coin like xlm,eth,neo will be down if btc down. because their follow btc price,but will be good for long term.

Also think that the market is not always on its peak and it is normal if it drops.  Learn how to be patient and be deaf on the things that can turn you around. I agree with what the OP says and this's very wise. We should be able to take advantage of clear and real coins have a good reputation in its class, I need not mention maybe everyone already knows. For me the new coin's still dark and not yet clear its development, because in investing and trading the cryptocurrency, guessing strategy isn't feasible to use.

While I can agree that being knowledgeable definitely helps, it however doesn't make you successful in any shape or form. It only grants you slightly better odds over someone that knows less than you.

I would even say that the more you think to understand this industry, the more you'll see how empty it actually is. There are no proper investments in here, and trading for most people here is similar to gambling.

Luck is the main factor in this industry due to its speculative nature. I haven't taken positions in any coin other than Bitcoin and that will probably not change. I'm not impressed with the rest of the coins.

One suggestion from me : you can use testnet of bitmex exchange to test yourself with fake money. So you can try indicators or strategies without losing.
