Yep..is it down???
Well, the site is back up and it shows people mining, but they haven't found a block in 5 hours so something is definitely not working correctly. I am solo-mining at the moment and finding blocks just fine so there is no problem with the network. The other pool (nyan.antisecurity.de) is going offline in 24 hours so I wouldn't mine there. We need another pool!!

Hmm Check to make sure your client has the right number of blocks (compare it to the block explorer: http://nyancha.in/chain/Nyancoin) When you hover over the rainbow checkmark it will show you how many blocks your wallet has downloaded, that's the number you want to compare to.

I'm on the right block... I guess its time to restart the computer. Been longer than a week anyways.

From opponent's thread (NYN): Right now, you motherfuckers, MUST create facets and other shit using your motherfucking premined amount. Right now, you, motherfuckers, MUST ENTREAT coinedup and other shitexchanges to accept your shit. Fucking infantile asshoes, wasted time waiting for launch, then wasted time mining your shit.
And also, RIGHT NOW you MUST send me 10K NYN to 9d5NsEBirCxFSriaV888CTcFin8BMuuhaZ just to make me feel better, because I lost lots of time with this "currency"
LOL. It seems that NYAN will win.

NYAN = NYN ? They're not the same thing. Since the two coins are named the same thing, if you download both wallets they will form identically named data files. If you try to send coins you mined off NYAN to the NYN network, it won't actually work, but your wallets will be confused in the meantime. You have to create a separate data file for each coin to use both.

NYAN = NYN ? This happens because both wallets use the %APPDATA%\Nyancoin\ folder by default. If you want to get both wallets working on the same computer you need to create a shortcut to each -qt.exe file then right click on the shortcut, choose properties, and in the target field it will need to read:"C:\Location\ofthefiles\nyancoin-qt.exe" -datadir="C:\AnyFolder\Nyancoin1 Data" and for the second wallet do the same thing but redirect the datadirectory to a different folder "C:\Location\ofthefiles\nyancoin-qt.exe" -datadir="C:\AnyFolder\Nyancoin2 Data" This will allow you to run both wallets. When you launch the NYAN1 shortcut it will create a new folder at "C:\AnyFolder\Nyancoin1 Data" When you launch the NYAN2 shortcut it will create a new folder at "C:\AnyFolder\Nyancoin2 Data" These data folders will be used instead of the default %APPDATA%\Nyancoin\ and will store the wallet.dat files and everything else like the blockchain.

Happyminers is broken again, they haven't found a block in 2.5 hours - done: 4121.8% Not sure what their problem is, but if you're mining there I suggest moving to http://nyan.steadymining.com/

This is normal. According to the blocks page http://nyan.steadymining.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks they are confirming after 120 blocks NYAN block time is ~60 seconds so your coins will be confirmed ~2 hours after they are mined (give or take a few minutes) (Exact same as DOGE) Edit: the client uses 30 confirms before mined coins are available - I'll shoot the steadymining guy an email mb he will lower the confirms to 30. You can still mine there it will just take an extra 90 minutes until the coins are confirmed and available for withdrawal.

Yeees .... But at http://nyan.happyminers.netwe can see: Note: Round Earnings are not credited until 30 confirms. But we also see: Time Since Last Block 3 hours 16 minutes 45 seconds Yes, the steadyminers admin should lower the confirms #, I'll shoot him an email. It's not a big deal - you should still mine there instead of happyminers because happyminers is not finding blocks as you point out (definitely something is not right over there). Some coins use 120 confirms before the mined coins mature, some use a lower number like 30. NYAN uses 30. The steadyminers admin probably just copied the pool config over from one of his other pools, he just needs to update his settings. Either way you will still get the same number of coins, you just need to wait 90 mins extra for them to confirm.
