Dont try the config above.

Instead of -g 1, try -g2 and -I 13. This should be perfect for the 7950's.

A great pool is ltcrabbit.com. Check them out.

I don't get it, I remember mining bitcoins on my gpu and there was a variable option that would adjust my gpu, it would do something, and worked. I was watching videos and everything mining bitcoins. I lowered the intensity to 10 and no difference.....I even tried lowering it to 1..........but cgminer didn't like that for some reason.

The thread what I'm refering to is here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=242495.0

Here's what I have so far.

color 02
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
C:\cgminer\cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://eu.ltcrabbit.com:3333 -u x -p x -o stratum+tcp://gigahash.wemineltc.com:3334 -u x -p x -o stratum+tcp://gigahash.wemineltc.com:80 -u x -p x --thread-concurrency 25984 --temp-target 80 --auto-fan -w 256 -g2 -I 13

There's an option "--autogpu". This sounds like exactly what I need (sounds like). But I don't know how to get it to work while I'm watching movies. I asked this question before in the past and it's something like this -temp-target 85 --auto-fan  --auto-gpu --gpu-engine 500-970 --gpu-memdiff -150 --gpu-fan 25-80 -I 7
I watch a lot of movies :-P

Btw, whoever finds out how to get me close to my hashrate generator calculation (643kh/s = 0.15955335LTC/day) is gonna get some small litecoins. I'm only getting 1.2/day and it sucks, and doesn't make sense. My miner is reporting 643 average. That's a big difference it projected earnings and ACTUAL earnings.

So start posting your address when you help. ;-)

Bitcoin mining wasn't as intensive on the cards, so it was easier to still use them for other tasks.  Since Scrypt uses a lot more ram than SHA256, it makes the system a lot less stable for multi-tasking.

Running 2 threads (-g 2) also doesn't help you if you're planning on using the GPU for other tasks apart from mining.  I'd suggest running at 1 thread with a higher intensity that you lower manually when you plan on watching movies.

As I said before, the auto-gpu flag only adjusts the gpu-engine speed based on temperature, not activity. You should, however, include a range for the gpu-engine flag.  You might also consider using a .conf file.

As far as getting your hash rate higher, it would be helpful to have a screen shot of cgminer that has been running for at least 10-15 minutes.  Also, please include the full command that you are currently using the start cgminer.

If I've helped you out, or you just think I'm awesome… 13SZex4uANVrfTeeuFEXGu6W8EVYtWVB53

Did my comment increase your hashrate?

Dude, you can't 100% rely on these calculators....
