According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

thanks, we are pretty busy here right now, heading to prague tomorrow.
Apologies to https://solidbitshop.com/

No problem at all.

Anyway. Apart from conference, we would like to propose a "Donation to Bitcoin Community" For those who support bitcoins and its ideas. Even for those that didn't supported the idea, coz now they can see that bitcoin rocks.

So, for a donation. SolidBitShop will buy Your bitcoins, with exchange ratio of two times greater that it is now: - 00:04 24-11-2011 UTC - 2,3138$ x 2 = 4,6276$:

Which means, for the same amount of bitcoins you can get 2x more from the shop. and even have half the shipping.

This even will take place, under the same time with oppening and closing European Bitcoin Conference in Prague.

So we start at: Friday, November 25 15:00 CET
We finish at: Sunday, November 27 17:00 CET

Have a nice hunting.

Heh, that does not compute. Just because you're planning to buy doesn't mean people will be selling (depending on price).

I think there will be few people selling them ;-). Only depends on amount, mine is limited to few hundreds USD (actually I'm selling mtgoxusd traded time ago for higher than current price, I don't want to sell at current price as I'm a bull).

I might be interested in buying some mtgox USD from you (I think it's time to buy). Would you accept EUR cash?

Make sure to record from two or more angles and especially to have a recording in case one or more of the cameras experiences technical difficulties...

And with speakers who have slides or other multimedia presentations it is good to have one camera
on the slides and another on the speaker himself and it can can edited to show the better view at the
right time.

It is frustrating to watch a video of a speaker saying something, "Now this graph shows...",
with the camera staying on the speaker and one never gets to see that graph.  And constantly
panning back and forth with one camera, and perhaps refocusing, can look unprofessional and
be disconcerting.

Lights are always the most expensive equipment at movie making. It helps the final look a lot (3-point lighting, if possible):

Key light (main light), Fill light (softer one, helps the contrast), Back light (also called "hair light", it helps the contour, a back light de-attach the subject from the background, and looks nice), and if feasible, a Background light.

And good shotgun mics.

I just returned from short pub session with Mitch (wordly), Tony from bit-pay and few other guys who are already in Prague. Firstly, casascius coins are really nice and everybody wanted them too! Too sad that two people convinced me and I sold some of coins to them. Poor slush. Good thing is that I sold them for bitcoins using Bitcoin wallet on Android, my first real face2face transaction using mobile phones. It was smoother and faster than I expected!

Then, I finally saw some of prepared (and still secret) projects using bitcoin and I must see - really cool! I laughted a lot especially because of p***coin.

Now I have no doubts that conference will be wonderful event.

haha, it seems the conference is already generating some real life bitcoin demand here. Very nice to see this.

I originally planned to leave on sunday afternoon back to hamburg. Maybe I'll stay a little longer for whatever goes down in the hackerspace and enjoy...

Too bad I only arrive Friday late at night. We (a friend and I). It'll be around 23:00 at night, I guess. I don't know if it makes sense to try to meet up with people at that point. I'm guessing the Conference Center will be empty at that time? Where are you guys (slush, genjix, ...) going to be Friday night? At the hackerspace, at some bar, ...? Maybe it makes more sense to go to sleep early to be fit for a long Saturday... not sure.

If you'll be lurking around after the conference with me and slush then I wouldn't stress it. A conference is meant to be fun. It should be good. The hackerspace people are affable.
