People keep asking me about conference videos:

/topic in #bitconconsultancy

"Conference videos: we've decided on high quality after conference videos vs low quality difficult-to-setup webcasts. Videos should be out during next few weeks."

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Some us were able to spend our Bitcoins on beer today at the Hard Rock Cafe in Prague.  The wi-fi sucked, but we still got through.   The price of a beer is 50 kroner, or 1.05 bitcoins!  I will take 2 more beers please!

1st session finished at the conference, met max kaiser, Rick falkvinge and loads of forum members. Apologies for not remembering everyone's name, its been a busy few months. Tomorrow is going to be fantastic, looking forward to it.

Thanks to tony from bit-pay for making the night bitcoin friendly, sorry about the rubbish WiFi in hard rock but I still managed to eat and drink in bitcoin.

Amir I have 12 bitcoins in my wallet that are yours.

We will try to get some footage out soon so we can share the experience with those that couldn't make it.

It's been nice to put names to faces, I encourage everyone to put their forum name on their badges tomorrow, we have marker pens at rego desk.

Cheers
Mitchell bourne

Could I add a small favour, if we don't reply to the guy above he might stop posting in this thread and we can keep it on topic

What guy Wink.  I hope you all have a great time.  I wish I could be there.  I'm anxious to see some pictures/footage, but I'll just have to wait.  Focus on having a great conference and I'm sure there will be plenty for us onlookers afterwards.

Hope you all have fun.

Yeah, sitting in the conference room a bit early, setup the cam and waiting for people to shuffle in. Should be fun.

Max Keiser just concluded a panel discussion on stage, and I was one of the participants. There was also a lawyer, an economist, a banker, and a technology guru. it was a really great talk!

This was actually kind of the highlight of the talks for me. You guys could've probably discussed things for a whole day or two Wink, although there was a lot of agreement, there still seemed to be some differences, especially regarding economics (oh wonder Wink

Congrats, Tony, also on your great talk and thanks for setting that goal (1 million bitcoin users within a year).

Re: European Bitcoin Conference

Mitchell Bourne is an Australian wandering Romania without a fixed address ( google him) .  He demanded that our firm www.fnib.co send him a wire transfer of US$5000 to cover his costs in Prague.  We cut all ties.  He has slandered our name in retaliation and pressured this forum to censor our posts.  We will go to the press about him and this forum.  We will nor shut up.

Contact us for details:

Dude - not a single person who is actually at the conference is saying a single bad thing about it or Mitchell. Nobody is corroborating your story, and you have no credibility anyway. So, you're kinda making a fool of yourself at this point.

And who the hell cares if he doesn't have a "fixed address" and is "wandering"...? That seems to be your primary attack vector and it's pretty silly, as if a proper Australian ought to stay at his home in Australia!

With your posts, you're slandering your own name more than Mitchell has... so if you're going to report him you may as well turn yourself over to the reputation police because you're your own worst enemy at this point.

BitTalk.TV would have streamed it live unfortunately there are no 'press passes' and I think that's probably what's keeping any serious media out.

No offense if this is a legitimate issue. Maybe you should have discussed things more clearly about what was expected from your end if you actually believe what you are saying in regards to the request for money seeming some how wrong..  Without you giving out some concrete info in relation to what exactly your agreement was and why you were under the impression that having a spot there was without cost then there is no reason I see to take your side.  No one is attacking you, or accusing you, but you are indeed doing just that, and without providing any proof what so ever of your claims....

And furthermore, adding in things like, "Australian wandering Romania without a fixed address" as some sort of measure to make him seem less professional or whatever the intention, is very childish. There are many highly professional, active, go getter business types out there that live very modestly, and yes, move a LOT. This hardly makes one less credible.

Well, to everyone at the confrence, wish I was there it sounds awesome. Can't wait to catch some of the videos.

    Cheers,
     Derek

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

No dude, we are not slandering our name and we are not commenting on the conference itself; rather we are reacting to previous comments, including Mitchell Bourne's, since he decided to retaliate by slandering us, and we will not stop, we will not be censored or shouted down. We will take this to the financial press if need be.   Count on us, dude.   And we dont need the approval of the trolls on this forum or the forum admin, and frankly  we dont need your business dollars either.  This forum isnt really about business anyway, its about arguments, and we will win this argument.  Grin

Good job. You just earned a dedicated spot on bittalk.tv's Christmas Special where your entire operation will be advertised in a true light.

Keep it up!

There was press, spiegel.de was one that stands out but Its been a very busy few days and I can't recall the other names right now. Press passes were available definitely, sorry we didn't get the message out to everyone.

Usually a press pass means that the press are allowed in without needing to pay an admission fee (since they are not there for the purpose of enjoying the show, but just helping the presenters to spread the word). If I am wrong in my definition then I'll be happy to clarify.

There may be press passes, but press needs to pay to get in, and that may be what is keeping many serious media out.

I hope somebody is going to stream it though-- this lackluster history of bitcoin conventions we have going on in our community isn't help us much.

Don't even bother with him. His post is off-topic and it will be removed. He'll also be banned if he keeps posting off-topic. As for his arguments about 'never giving up', frankly he's already lost and he's going to have his ass handed to him in front of 30,000 viewers on bittalk.tv come this Christmas during our Christmas Special. People need to learn that when you mess with the bulls, you get the herpes.
