Yeah if I have to wait 10000 blocks, that could be weeks.. You are actually going to destroy the IPO, because the general mining public will lose interest in it, and you have other coins set to release like ultracoin, which will just erode interest, you are taking too conservative of a route.

Just because the general mining public got used to instamining and doesn't realise the benefits of a slow start doesn't mean this coin is doomed...

We don't want miners who come for the easy pickings when difficulty is low and then move onto the better coins after 2 weeks. We don't care for the miners who pump and dump on exchanges. The only miners we care about are those that will be here over the long-term as they see intrinsic value in the #coin brand name. For the rest, this probably isn't a coin for you. What if instead of going from a very small block reward to full reward all at once at block 10k, increase it every let's say 2k blocks? That might create multiple anticipation points and gain momentum each time.   That would keep miners' interest up for longer maybe?

That's 17 days to get close to 100 coins.
