hi guys,

I have been following some threads from the outside and I now feel like commenting sometimes to some posts. I like crypto trading (I don't do it all day although it's tempting...), not mining but we all wished we had done that a couple of years ago... I also invest in some bitcoin co. stocks, it's easy and fun, tried out BTC-T... can't say I was not warned ;-) but I like this USDBTC volatility. Btw no one has been complaining about the $bn that high frequency traders have been making from these tiny spread computer generated orders (which no human can do of course) but everyone seems to be really concerned about the USDBTC volatility... well I would say 'give everyone a chance' until the quant guys come into BTC at least....

anyway, hope to be ranting soon among you bitcoin pioneers and visionaries (well until I get bashed but it should be fun..)

cx

to be honest i'm just hope that the true potential of all of this new stuff becomes apparent to all. thanks to long polling and the establishment of pools we are building the networks and the knowhow to change the world. kickstarter and the like i can see replacing the government grant system ( eventualy). and the ability to "hash" can also be used for scientific purposes.

the combined computational potential of all the people to rip control away  from the few, is mind blowing. with these systems in place we can take back control of our world. as long as we do it in a intelligent way. we can advance ourselves and the rest of the human race further than anyone has ever dreamed.

just my 2 cents

now to wait 4 hours...

ok good spirit. I agree this mining race could become a way for the whole industry to advance we'll see (like the Formula One does to common cars....)

seems you would like the 'singularity'  - I don't want to start a big debate here around this... I remain neutral on the topic - but I guess your last sentence goes in that direction, just for intellectual curiosity.

Hey everyone, newbie here as well.  I've been learning how to mine with a few different altcoins, including Megacoin, Infinitecoin, Mooncoin, and a few others.  Starting to get the hang of it I think!  Thank you all for the treasure trove of information provided in this forum! Grin
