Nope. Put in the seeds and used v1.2. Deleted the data. Still stuck on the wrong chain.

Downloaded the database, tried again and... It worked. Kinda... Got an out of sync message, but no blockchain downloading... strange...

I'm not sure why downloading the database was necessary, but it was.

Still getting jack on pools though. Guess the solo miners are raping this hard. Sad

Am I the only one that is really wishing for a smooth launch sometime?

No Matey, I also wish for smooth launches. I did find two or 3 in these past 3 weeks when dozens of alt coins were launched but do you think they give a Rats Ass???

Icoin DEV does not piss straight, he just keeps on repeating himself with the same with addnodes robot answer! They screwed this once, they have screwed it twice and if they dare to relaunch again I am betting that will be a completely screw up again  Roll Eyes

Good luck to the persistant though, maybe you can get a lucky and get a block on a completely different blockchain Grin

So this is all just incredibly confusing to me, like a foreign language. Anyone willing to take this down to laments terms? I have been pool mining on ic.mepool.cc up until yesterday, because I heard there might be a wallet upgrade I would have to do. Well, I ended up mining about 230 coins, and another 214 are in the pool, but just unconfirmed?

Anyways, I'm sure they'll confirm. It took my first couple hundred like 48 hours to confirm but they eventually got there lol.

So here's where I'm at. I downloaded V1.2 of the wallet around 20 minutes ago, and it still says out of sync but there is no green loading bar seen below like I've seen on other wallets?? Also, it may be worth noting that when I upgraded to V1.2, I saved/extracted it in a completely different folder (actually on a completely different drive) than my original wallet so as not to create confusion between the two. Well, I open up the wallet and it already has my 230 coins in there somehow and shares the exact same wallet address and exact information as my last wallet, but it is indeed V1.2. How can this be if I saved it to a completely different location and didn't overwrite the first one? :/ I didn't think too much of it, just saw the coins were in there so I felt safe deleting my old wallet V1.0.

So now I've successfully uploaded the new wallet but just having problems with it syncing. When I went to the Debug Window, it said it was on block 5180 which I'm pretty sure is correct, right? Any help with this or should I just wait it out and hopefully it will catch up soon? Seems like a bunch of other people are having trouble solo mining, that's not something I wish to do so I don't need any info on that, just syncing my wallet...

Thanks - Ridg

Lol, I'm assuming you're on ic.mepool.cc? Noticed that the pool hashrate jumped QUITE considerably. My hashrate was about 1/3rd of the pool, now I feel like a little peon  Wink

This is so incredibly bad.

Dev can't even handle a legitimate release, how do you think he'll handle it if the coin forks or if there's another problem with this garbage coin?

Stop wasting your hashes on this shit.

Hi All,

Unfortunately we are going to have these teething issues until block 5200, after that things will smooth over. We wanted to make sure most people were made aware of this
change before it occurred.

Also 3 of the 5 pools aren't 1.2 ready, but will confirm with the other shift if they were contacted by the other pools. For some reason the pool owners have gone AWOL.

At this time we are also open to new pools mining iCoin and will be making a post for this later and remove any pools that are not 1.2 ready on the pool list at block 5195.

Really apologies for the frustrations some people are experiencing and will assist where we can.

I seem to be on the right chain now with 5180 blocks.

But https://www.miningpool.co doesn't seem to be getting squat. Been mining in it and turning up zero. Should've gotten a few blocks by now... Sad

Is there a mining pool that is actually getting some blocks?

At the current difficulty - that iCoin is stuck in currently (until the hard fork fixes this issue at block 5200) - and with the pool hash rate of just under 1MH/s it will take on average around 32 hours for the pool to find a block.

The whole network hash rate is currently just a touch over 20MH/s.

{EDIT} So the hashrate on MiningPool.co is now around 9MH/s so estimated average block time should be 3 Hours 21 Minutes 39.5 Seconds  Smiley

Just got to hang in there and get to 5200!

Agree with the bolded part and hopefully over time our actions will change your mind about iCoin.

We appreciate all feedback no matter how negative.

Thanks

Could you inform us whether or not ic.mepool.cc is one of the pools that works with the upgrade? Currently have my cards hashing away on it, and would rather not if I know I will lose coins or something? Thanks - Ridg

Thanks ethought I have updated the OP to say you have upgraded to version 1.2 .

Regarding the other 3 pools we are going to be spamming them now to get the new version.

@nibbloid --> Good plan

@BigRidg7 and @stevenlam I recommend doing the same, I am sure ic.mepool.cc will switch but better to play it safe for now.

We pretty much want to get over the 5200 hurdle now, once that occurs we will be pushing the coin and updating the website further.

We want the early believers to benefit from having faith in us.
