My Client got stucked at Block 3099 for the third time.
I downloaded the 1.2 client. Created the *.conf file.
Starting it, waiting for blockchain-download, but it gets only to Block 3099.
So i deleted the peers.dat and all other files and restarted the client. Again ... only till block 3099.

Whats up there?

Ähm what the fuck is going on? I can remember that I bought some ICoin a couple of days ago and the block time was 10min and there were less coins then 500mio.?(I think 50mio. or something like that).

A hard fork? This is cheating. I bought a coin with the price of 1/10 of the supply.  Huh

Whats up there?

same here.

love the design of this coin, yet this 'launch' seems again totally shitty.

How about a nice bonus for the miners who try to eat the remaining high diff blocks and not just wait for others to do all the hard work? Smiley

Always a good idea when you download a new client version to check that you are on the same block height as the rest of the network. Never just assume you are on the right chain.

And what happens with the people who mined the old version to block 5200? I've spent 2 days mining and barely got 1000 icoins. Which are worthless now.

The Coins will still come out at a slowish rate compared to most coins, the alternative was to start fresh which would of been worse for the people who mined coins already.

Ultimately we knew we would get some negativity by not starting fresh and because the network hash was so high after the first diff change but going for either fresh start and
keeping the difficulty the same would cause loss of trust and kill off the coin.

We confident we have found a good balance with the new settings.

For those having issues with the sync now, lets wait until block 5200 and we will deal with the issues after that.

The difficulty will be reset at block 5200. You will be mining 1000 coins within minutes/hours with a decent hashrate. There is a separate thread as to why this was necessary. But all in all, be prepared to mine once the blockchain hits 5200.

In http://www.altpool.pw there is still the info that difficulty will change on block 5280 and not 5200. Is this ok?

I just found block 5194 a couple of minutes ago so there are 6 blocks left now. Our pool alone (https://www.miningpool.co) has a pool block time of 30 minutes so there shouldn't be many hours left!
