According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I for one appreciate the quietude.  Having one huge-post quote after another just becomes noise.  I mean the posts with 5+ levels deep of quoting and the ones with all the big graphics repeated over and over and the non-pertinent-to-your-post quotes in there.  15 vertical inches of monitor space as a quote all for a "+1" comment -- guh.  You know you can delete some of that before posting.  Apparently not.  At least we're not burning trees for that.

I'd think both have a little to do with it Smiley Though both of them headlines are pretty (http://www.coindesk.com/bitinstant-ceo-charlie-shrem-arrested-silk-road-bitcoin-bust/) "over reacting" Cheesy The russia thing is pretty much the same as what happened in china, and the arrest is ridiculous.. "three hop" allegation Tongue Would be pretty much the same as as saying that employers who pay salary to their employees, who then buy are car from someone, and that someone who received the money for the car uses it to buy illegal things, would be held accountable (the employer that is)  Shocked Ridiculous? Thats the USA Grin

The thread is quieter now that people are afraid of getting the topic locked, I think?

Anyway, as long as we can announce giveaways here, but have them happen at http://usd-e.com/talk, it should be ok, right?

Also, if you haven't already, please register at http://usd-e.com/talk.  Let's revive our own USDe home and bring some fresh faces into the mix!

He looks very pale, but I like it... anyone else, thoughts?  Gcr0n is definitely a talent among us Smiley

Again, Ben Franklin is an awesome guy with an awesome history behind him, and he is on our USDe logo currently, but we really, really want to start moving away from being associated with the U.S.A. image too much -- the USDe is meant and WILL be promoted in every language and every country.

I should have seen this coming.  Next time I'll post a big graphic just for irony.  And don't strain yourself counting, this is only 4 levels deep.
