For those who desire an more personal USDe address, with their nick or name on it for example.

For caution backup your wallet.dat before trying or try it on a new empty wallet first.

Creating USDe address-space vanity-address:
1) Download the latest version of vanitygen: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0
2) Run the appropriate executable for your system with command line parameters like in this example, replacing the <string> for what you want your address to read after the first character (G):
Code:
vanitygen64.exe -X 38 G<string>
3) After finding an appropriate address and it's private key copy-paste them somewhere for later
4) Open up your USDe wallet and navigate to Help->Debug window->Console
5) Unlock your wallet (if encrypted) by: walletpassphrase <yourpassword> 1000
6) Import the private key you found for your new address: importprivkey <privatekey> [label]
7) Check that the importing went fine: validateaddress <newaddress>

If everything went okay you should see the validateaddress results starting with lines:
Code:
{ "isvalid" : true,
"address" : "<newaddress>",
"ismine" : true

Cool After that just restart your client and start receiving coins to your new pretty addy!

While writing this my new address is still generating but feel free to send eCoins to my not so vain address if this was of any help. Cheesy

So I know you are not tech support for this product, but you may have a quick pointer for me.  After downloading vanitygen and running the code you provided, I get an error saying that my prefix is not possible "Hint: valid bitcoin addresses begin with '1'".  Any ideas?  Do I need to run vanity gen from a specific folder or something weird like that?

500 USDe tip for the solution Wink

Thanks!

let's not get all pumpy and dumpy here but 1000 satoshi would be pretty good not saying that 2000 is unreachable but right now anything under 3-4k satoshi is a very very promising investment if the devs keep up the good work.

You think we will be listed on Cryptsy just because there is a wiki entry?

I don't get that. I mean if I watch the wiki I see several coins that aren't listed on Cryptsy...Can some1 explain it to me please?  Grin

This is the first OC I've ever created so don't be too harsh.  Lips sealed Anyway, Richard Stallman is someone I respect a lot and I thought USDe suits him well. Since I have such a horrible hashrate I may as well contribute in other ways.

Not a single response about this. I guess it was worse than I thought lol
It represents exactly what USDe stands for. I saved your work and I will post tomorrow an album with all the pics, meme, graphics, posters

Good to hear, thank you. I'll continue to work on more.. nothing special, but I figure why not? Also, should I not continue with the Richard Stallman pics? I'm thinking not enough people know who he is.

Anyway, here's something new from me.

So what price do we think it will hit Cryptsy at and end of Day 1 trading be? Should we have a competition to guess? Smiley

2500 satoshi

My supposition is around 2000sato... But if it was 2500 it would not be offended Tongue

I'd be very please with 2000-2500  Cheesy Cheesy

eeh, that's not to be accepted... I can't speak for anyone, but you have my apologies and you should know that we officially do not condone or endorse this sort of behavior.  Our growth, which is just beginning will be 95% created organically.

Fellow USDe'ers, please, you know better than to post on other topics.  We're all adults here and spamming anywhere else does not lead to anything positive for USDe.

Cryptocurrency is still very much out of reach of most people because it's way, way, WAYYYYYYYYYYYY too complicated
Can you imagine if our wallet had everything built in? Where literally ANYBODY can start mining just by downloading USDE.exe

- Automated Extraction/Setup/Installation/Shortcut on desktop
- Auto-update
- Autobackup
- Upon first run, user MUST set a password to encrypt the wallet
- "Mining" button starts mining from a random, predefined P2Pool to avoid 51% rule
- Include option to auto-sync with Android/iOS wallet and link to download said wallet
- Incorporate cgminer and cudaminer into the wallet with some default settings
- Add a tab that lists some exchanges and their current BTC rates (in sat AND USD)
- Go above and beyond above feature by adding buy/sell option within the wallet after creating account on the website of their desired exchange
- Go ABSURDLY beyond both above features by partnering with an exchange that gives the option to buy/sell their USDe for USD or BTC.
- Instant gratification = Instant success

By simply downloading and running the USDe wallet (the first wallet with ANY of these features), the completely tech illiterate person can start mining, trading, and making money all from within their wallet. Beyond that, it is at their discretion if they want to learn more about mining, advanced features, differences between pool/P2P mining, workers, etc.

This would streamline every initial barrier to the confusion of crypto mining and would not only put USDe on the map, but could make it bigger than BTC due to ease of use. No hardware to buy, research to perform, forums to read, websites to bookmark....just download and make money.
