Hi, this is my humble suggestion for a QBIT logo. The two arrows represent the superposition of two quantum states (spin, polarization, etc.) that is the qubit. I was going to add a bra-ket notation for the wave function but it might not appeal to the masses. Or put both arrows inside a ket for entangled states.....But simplicity=elegance=mass appeal. If the community like the concept, we need a real graphics artist to redo the colors, shapes, proportions, etc....This is all I could muster from Powerpoint with my limited artistic ability  Grin

This is a nice coin and I can see this coin having a future, but it needs  a Large and well ORGANISED Community, good marketing, promotion and BRANDING!!!

For branding examples look at Earthcoin, DigiByte and DogeCoin -- all of them are pre-mined shit-coins, but because of branding they managed to build quite a big communities.

My suggestions for re-branding: don't call it Qubit or Qubitcoin. Qubit sounds too much like Cubit, and this could often lead to confusion.  The brand must be UNIQUE!!!  And Qubitcoin sounds too much like "Bitcoin", and, in addition, there are already too many "coins" already (Litecoin, CasinoCoin, AnonCoin, WorldCoin, DogeCoin, PrimeCoin etc) -- we need something simple and UNIQUE!!!  Call it simply
Qbit

And instead of the confusing "Q2C", the ticker code will be simply its name: QBIT.

With this simple and short name you will be able to design a better branding and catchy logo.

If you agree and like my idea, send QBIT  to GRHW1MbaLkrBG24ddXf4Kvtn3112dUNKqP

Also about the Qbit website:  I'm a professional web-developer and I could build a very-very powerful website with internal social network, local communities (like on Reddit), groups (like FB), project management (like Kickstarter), forum, events (like FB), but, sorry, no self respecting developer would do it for 25,000 Qbits, which even at the prices that people are selling at currently (and I'm not sure if anyone is buying), comes to less than 250 USD.

Dear All,

I'm glad to see that my original post was welcomed in this community.  Community building is really the first essential task, and the website that is interactive and facilitates community's life is merely a means to that end.

We have created a subreddit  http://www.reddit.com/r/qubitcoin/ and I'm one of the moderators there. I think for the short term it will provide a place to discuss various issues and move forward.  Please come and join us.

I have also seen people pledging their website donations to a total of more than 60,000 Qbit.  It's an improvement, but it won't get us a website that is any more than a wordpress template.  (I have seen the http://www.qubitcoin.net/ by Ahha -- sorry, but that's just not the kind of website that we would need in order to get Qbit to compete with the major established coins).  I have started building a website that has:
* Communities (kind of like Facebook Groups, ability for people to form local groups and discuss their internal tasks)
* Projects (kind of like Kickstarter, people can post project proposals so that other donate to them to kickstart the developmet)
* Forum
* News (categorised by topics)
* Events (like on Facebook, so that people can create local promotion events, meetups, etc)
* Social networking: Following/Followers, internal Private messaging, profile page etc
* Wikis: tutorials, How-To-guides, FAQs etc

So far I have been developing on my home server (it's not online).  The results have been relatively good and promising.  Most of the above described features have been implemented well.  And it looks like it's going to be one kickass website to barge into the crypto world with blitzkrieg bang.

Together with hosting on a dedicated server, I would need 2,000,000 Qbits .  It doesn't have to be paid immediately.  I'm prepared to continue the work on this site if I see 500,000 being donated.  Given that this was a fair launch and that there was no premine, I would kindly ask the community members to donate their 2 days mining worth to GRHW1MbaLkrBG24ddXf4Kvtn3112dUNKqP .

I don't think that we need all of this at once. I think it'd be greater if you launched a part of described features so community can look at them and fund further development. E.g. info page and news for the start and then start funding campaign.

PS. It's just my $0.02.

0. Detailed coin description with all its strong sides. An IDEA which makes this coin DIFFERENT.
0.1 Post what you consider a strong side and an IDEA of the QBIT
0.2 Vote for the main IDEA and several strong sides

1. Social networks
1.1 Create communities subreddit ready
1.2 Invite friends, increase popularity
1.3 Perform a giveout/lottery/competition/etc

Ah, so that was you.  THANK YOU for the first payment!  Motivates me to move forward.
All good points jackthecoiner!!! It seems like its coming from a person who understands marketing and branding. It's great to see when people are on the same page.

I think we should make the subreddit our new *temporary* home until the website is up and running and  discuss the issues and tasks there.  Does anyone know how to customize subreddits so that they look nice and unique?  If so, PM me on Reddit and I'll make you a moderator of our subreddit.

It seems a good idea to create a twitter account and run a promotional giveaway like this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=394320.msg4252624#msg4252624.

How long did you try? Wait 30-45min for the first reward. I use it and it works fine. But only after a certain amount of time.

Added my small donation too (tx). Keep working on it! We also need to involve pools and big miners into funding.
