I was thinking of adding this coin to Poloniex.com, but I'm a little concerned about the developer vanishing. Isn't this a time he should be actively promoting the coin? It seems a shame to go to the trouble of actually adding something to an altcoin, and then vanish--especially when there is an eager community.

This is important, an enthusiastic community.
I think that adding qbit in your exchange could be a great opportunity for you and for the community itself. For you, because in this way we could all use your platform for exchanges and for the community so that it is able to sell / buy (without forum/escrow) and in this way the coins tend to be distributed more equally between the big miners and the other... are you agree with me?

Yeah I would do this the same. I bring out a coin and in the most critical phase I go on vacation for two weeks. Brilliant!

Why dead? Wallet or algo don't work? We only need to update a logo.

First i dont think the dev is off permanent, but also then, coin is far away from being dead, coin works properly and there is no fix or updated need yet, enough time for the dev to return.

Have you tried adding some of these nodes? It's a list of nodes which block explorer is connected to.
