Anyone know hash rate for AMD FX-9370 (8-core) processor for this coin ?

Or possibly AMD Opteron 6376 (16-core) ?

On 16-core Opteron 6128 (2GHz), it is about 490 khas/s.

So, in this branch, I read some posts about new algoritm and great potencial of Q2C. Lets dispute about its price. What do you think, How much real cost for this coin will be? coz today price is too low, I think. Does It compare with Quark? coz exclude algoritm, it same, I mean reward for block, amount coins and other conditions, Am I right? Any suggestions?

It depend on us. Smiley

When Q2C comes to exchanges and diff hit ~2000 ~2500, price should be at least 0.0001 or 10k = 1BTC. At least I hope. Smiley

it's too early to know and personally i spoke on this topic here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=411065.msg4685049#msg4685049

We could start discussing about the Qbit Foundation idea instead, because i think that the bad thing about not having a premine is that if no one does enough donations to the developers, the development is slowed down.
If the dev come back soon, we could imagine to send him a registration fee for Qbit Foundation membership (10k?) and then the members can vote and decide how to promote Qbit.

Do you agree?

Good idea. Let's denote Qbit to the dev and make him rich up to da moon  Grin Grin Grin

me too, as you can read. But more important than grammatical correctness between us is that we understand each other... in community there are a lot of native speakers of English that can help you.

BTW, https://poloniex.com/ is already up.

The FX8320 of a friend does close to 400 kH while my 8350 does 380 too. Only difference is that he has Win8 while I have Win7.  Huh

First of all I'd like to share my thoughts about brand. Please read it.
I like name QBIT, but something warned me in this name. Today I've understood what it is. Name. Current name QBIT does not respond to brand requirements. Totally.
Coin name must be brand. We really don't need another one "bit" or "coin" among hundreds of clones, trust me. It should not look like "oh, just another coin". Let's take a look. DOGE is just another Scrypt coin. Why it makes its way to the moon? Brand. DOGE is cool and stylish. It cought the trend.
What about QBIT? It is technically different coin. But it is "just another fork" in minds of most people. How to solve the problem? Brand. We need to make this coin some kind of social phenomenon.

QUINT

I think it should be something like this. Pentagon and Q variations. It represents FIVE - the IDEA of the coin.
I know that much job have been done using Q2C or QBIT names. But at last we'll need one name. And I hope you understand that it sould not be Q2C or QBIT. We need brand. Abovementioned names does not respond to brand requirements. It will be late to change the name very soon and we can avoid terrible mistake right now.
Thank you for your attention. Feel free to discuss it.

Also I suggest that ltcrstrbrt have created perfect logo for QBIT.
Dear ltcrstrbrt, could you please use you great digital painting skills to create a good logo based on my and matrixfighter scratches? It will take part in next logo voting round.
As for logo reward - I don't need a coin of it.

And so what do we have for today?

0. Detailed coin description with all its strong sides. An IDEA which makes this coin DIFFERENT. Guys! We still need IDEAS! First one is that the coin is STRONG. The second IDEA is FIVE. Our coin contains FIVE strong hashing algos.
0.1 Post what you consider a strong side and an IDEA of the QUINT
0.2 Vote for the main IDEA and several strong sides
0.3 Logo. We must have perfect logo 1, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 are total outsiders! Prepare for the second round!
0.4 Rebuild wallet after logo is chosen
1. Social networks
1.1 Create communities subreddit and facebook ready, google plus done more to go
1.2 Invite friends, increase popularity
1.3 Perform a giveaway/lottery/competition/etc forum giveaway done! organize giveaway/lottery in facebook or google plus
2. Site
2.1 Create site. Even a page for the beginning. Page created. Site is under construction.
2.2 Add wiki, forum, etc. Site is under construction.
3. Exchange and so on First exchange started! http://poloniex.com/exchange
3.1 Cryptsy. Make them to add this coin. Cryptsy thread active. We should force it after the site is created.
3.2 QUINT/USD exchange
3.3 Online wallet
4. Services that accept QUINT
4.1 Create a site that will accept QUINT. It can be even mobile phone payment site or VPN accepting QUINT. Any online service will be perfect.
5. Foundation

FIVE. Here we also have FIVE major tasks =)
Let's QUINT it!  Cool

@jackthecoiner

You can't change the name. A change of the logo should be ok, but not when it is already on some exchanges. So when people saw something, it is to late to change.

@krecu

Suggestions about the site:
- Many people nowerdays have a 16:9. So when I see the page, I don't find the wallet.
- most of the people who visit you site want to know the specifications. Block time, block reward (+ reward drop over time), coin total, retarget time. And something about the start (was is fair or not?). With 8 hours of only 1 block reward for adjusting the difficulty it was really fair. I would put that facts on a special place, so you don't have to click it through.
- can you automate the middle part (with "block generation 30sec"), so it will show the next part every 10seconds or so. There we need the strengths of the coin. Something like "With only 30sec for one confirmation, this coin is really fast" or "With 8 hours for diff adjustment, it was one of the fairest starts" or "With 5 different hashes it can't be broken, although one hash might be cracked".
- one page with the hashes explained. Just copy paste this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=411065.msg4625865#msg4625865

But I like the design and pics. Nice work. These are just suggestions and my opinion Wink

This is really a little frustrating. Astrocoin with 4.5% premine (they announced 2.2%) and nearly an exact copy of Litecoin, got added on coinex.pw and coinedup only after 3 days. 3/4 of the total supply is premined at the moment.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=425367.msg4715526#msg4715526

And the 10 000% value increase of Mooncoin in just 3-4 days? ...

And the 10 000% value increase of Mooncoin in just 3-4 days? ...

Perhaps you should get your facts right, 2.2% premine, not 4.5%, 3100 blocks were mined until the launch at Jan. 22nd 12:00a.m. UTC. There were well over 50 miners at launch, over 300 miners after 30 min. of launch, the total supply is 140,000 coins, around 8000 blocks are mined as of now, thats 8000 coins total, if you can do your math right, 8000/140000 * 100 = 5.71% mined total so far
(That's how you calculate percentages FYI), Furthermore, http://coinex.pw does not have us up yet, only http://openex.pw and http://coinedup.com/ does. So basically most of what you stated is false, seems like you're trolling. Remember that a coin needs support from the community, not just a different algo, and other stuff. People love Litecoin and Bitcoin, hence why the ones built directly off them using their algo are most popular. Please get your facts straight so that you don't get caught with your pants down to your knees again.
