Hey all,

Find below a snapshot of the BTC markets at CoinedUp, ordered by the price per coin.

I think FZ is doing remarkably well - going along with QRK and closer to the block of the established altcoins beginning with FTC (Feathercoin) than to those well hyped newcomers like EAC (Earthcoin). Among the newcomers only CAT comes with a remarkably better price per coin, but with a very low trade volume compared to FZ.

My impression is that the coins with a total issue in the billions have it difficult to stay in the BTC markets. And by dropping into LTC trade they may lose even more visibility and value.

Frozen keeps rocking! Smiley

Some advice from another thread: be careful with stone wallets:

(a typical stone wallet as used by dinosaurs for cold storage, alas it offered no protection once the private keys were compromised)

PS: in case you haven't noticed, it's satire ;-)

I updated the section about GPU mining:

as far as I understand "Smelter" is since the mandatory update of Frozen v1.1.0.x incompatible with Frozen:
It generates blocks with a wrong block reward, all mined blocks are rejected.

I have Smelter not available, so in case this information is wrong I'd ask you to let me know.

Thanks in advance

trenton

This coin must be lucky to have all those sevens in it's total amount. Try Fz, Frozen coin.

Dear all,

fyi, since the last big change to 25 FZ / block the block reward of Frozen has reached now 20.0 FZ / block. The rapid decline continues each 120 blocks, the next decrease is at block 107658: giving a block reward 19.97984 FZ.

If you want to mine Frozen I'd advise to start better sooner than later.

Good luck!

trenton

What do you think needs to be done?  I think it's one of the most organized coin sites I've seen.

Address list -> seems to be the cool thing to do, you can give me cryptocash for nothing!

I don't think it is aesthetically pleasing. There are a lot of color clashes especially with the winter8.jpeg(Mountain pic)
FAST.SECURE.RARE is blurry
The text on white blocks doesn't look good to me.
The top bar div which contains - home - getting started - etc can be made to float when the user scrolls.

Imagine being someone that is new to cryptocurrency. Will the website suggest that it is maintained by dedicated people that believe in a cause?
I appreciate the effort so far and its not my intention to put down someone's work.

Couple of good points... I guess I should stop looking at it like a "fan" and more like a visitor.

Frozen digest #1

Changes of the initial post:
  • Added the Poll for cryptokopen.eu in the Calls for contribution
  • Added fzcoin.cc as new main site of Frozen
  • Updated section about GPU-mining. Smelter seems *not* to work for Frozen (it generates bad blocks: too high rewards)
  • Updated history with the recent events about Shares (BE refunding investors)
  • Updated block reward section after recalculation: coin rewards last a bit longer than previously stated. Last block is 1,923,765 (previously: 1,913,379)

Other news:
  • Filled in a request form of coinmarketcap.com to add Frozen (philipvdlinde points out to the coinmarketcap.com thread)
  • Frozen is listed since a while at the Chinese site btc38.com
  • The giveaway thread is about to be closed, the Haiku contest lasts until end of January and got some cool submissions.
  • I plan to continue these digests from time to time and thought it's a good idea to give them a count. This one is not the first, but the first counted Smiley

More recent digests:
