I am planning to move the multibit.org website to something with a bit more oomph.

Can anyone recommend a web hosting service that is "bitcoin friendly" ?   By this I mean somewhere where they know what bitcoin is and will be amenable to running a bitcoin daemon and (for bitcoinj) a Java virtual machine on their backend.

Any good (or bad!) experiences that you have had with hosting providers would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi - thanks !

I am 'feature complete' on the first proper release of MultiBit (it has been living in prototype form on the bitcoinj mailing list for a month or so).   I will start a dedicated thread for it in the "Alternative clients" sub-forum once I iron out the remaining bugs and it is of good enough quality for general release.   That should be about a week or so away.

I've registered a few domains with Cinfu.com using Bitcoin. Was very happy with the ease of service. You can pay for all hosting, etc with bitcoins so I'd assume they can accommodate your needs.

Rackspace Cloud.  They don't accept Bitcoin for payment though.
