I don't think so, We can't even use credit/debit card as a payment in MaDonald(China area),let alone use Bitcoin.

Also, Mcdonald might suffer losses for the Bitcoin price volatility.

This would be huge if McDonalds did start accepting btc but it's not gonna happen. I don't think bitcoin is even used enough right now for McD's to bother with it though I hope I;m very wrong.

If McDonalds starts accepting bitcoins
Ronald McDonald will be a "cryptoclown"
LOL

Not sure if there is a pun that I am missing there.

You're not missing anything, it's just a shit joke lol.
Not really, Bitcoin is pretty popular among people right now. It wouldn't hurt for them to integrate Bitpay/any other POS solutions into the system. They can pretty much reduce fees for credit card transactions, saving loads of money. With bitpay, it can be nearly as fast as using cash or credit cards.

What do you mean "let alone". You make it sound if accepting Bitcoin is even harder than accepting credit / debit cards. Well, quite the opposite, actually. Of all payment methods (including cash), Bitcoin is the easiest, cheapest and safest to accept.

Ah geez, not that shit again Undecided No, McDonald (or any merchant) doesn't care the slightest bit about price volatility. They use a payment provider (for free) and they get paid in Euros or Dollars. Zero risk involved for them.

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Have you thought why they don't accept credit cards? It's likely to do with fees they charge, though you can use them for even small purchases at mcdonalds in my country.

If you think racionaly then it would be good move for mcdonald, just scan the qr and then goodbye. No additional work with metal pieces of money.

The only online casino on which i won something. I made 17mBTC from 1mBTC in like 15 minutes.  This is not paid AD!

I actually did not see a pay with selfies promotion coming though I am not surprised that it wasn't BTC.

It really doesn't sound like they are accepting a new form of payment though.  It is just a promotion and the promotion will occur at pre-specified times.

Regardless, I am not going to be trying this.  I don't miss their fries or anything else that much.  I hope a homeless person or two will take advantage though.

When they do accept BTC, the price will take a nose dive! When bigger companies / merchants adopt BTC, they will convert nearly 100% of their BTC into fiat.

They do this to pay wages and running cost in fiat. This will push the price down and it will be bad for Bitcoin.

We need to target areas where people spend their money. { Internet service providers / Electricity providers or resellers / Grocery shops etc. } When these people accept BTC, people will have a incentive to receive BTC as payment for salaries.

There should be less reasons for them to convert back to fiat.

Yeah, having more places to spend bitcoin is cool and all, but we also need more places to earn bitcoin besides just buying them.

Good advertising. Most likely the new payment method is exactly what they've shown. At random a customer has a chance to be charged with "a smile" instead of $x.xx. Maybe 1 in a 100?

The clues are the "at random" and the customer smiling. There ya go.

It's
Pay With Lovin' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iq2Sm2XGv_s

Fuck this. I had a feeling it would be something like "Pay with smile," which is dumb, but at least takes 1 second. However, if it's a random pool of antics like shown in the video, well, I'm not stepping foot in a McDonald's until this shit is over.

How about instead of doing this shit, they pay their workers a little more. Make them feel a little less suicidal perhaps? Feel so fucking sorry for the cashiers that are going to have to do this shit.

But you so should go in. And then loudly proclaim you prefer to pay with cash. You'd surely get a lot of lovin' from doing that.

What huge brands are getting involved because McDonalds certainly isn't. And who is keeping the price down and how and why? Doesn't make any sense.
