For some campaigns, that's a good thing. It allows us to get rid of things like multi-account. I have 2 million accounts in the forum, but I really wish to know how many users it would be if I wanted to. I think it is okey for some projects.

many these are just alibi not to pay everybody in the bounty pool. a legitimate bounty program should announce all the requirements upfront  and should refuse to accept the work from those who are ineligible

Maybe this is true because in the first place kyc must be done before the bounty campaign ends. And I think why do we need to pay some eth just to receive the bounty which we work for so many weeks and yet they are demanding for more from you. I think rules for the bounty campaign must be clear on day 1.

One of my bounty project asked participants to pay eth, to 'protect' from bots. For me it is simple cheating. I am not going to pay for my own work. And also it is a big red flag. According to my experience i will never pay for airdrops and bounty.
This is my first time to hear about this matter where you would need to send some eth just to prove something that you are not a Bot.? Its a ridiculous way on having this kind of verification. KYC would already be an enough thing and now they do ask for more.

KYC is protection from multi-accounts, if you can prove your identity, and others can not, then you will get more payments!

I agree but they should announce when the bounty starts not at the end. There are people who do not like it
This is the thing why it do really sucks as a bounty hunter where you have been asked to comply KYC when the campaign or program has ended which you would really have a hard time to make decisions if you do comply or not because it is not being stated since from the start and same as you said there are lots of people who dont like it.

this is so bad i want to say that this is a scam. they tried to raise funds from participants. sort of to cover payment for bounty.
They do this the reason is not want to pay bounty and this is a crime. Huh

I understand the need for measures against multiple signups. And also like that there are measures against it, although I don't like to do give away all my data to some strangers that might even turn out to be scammers. So I generally stay away from bounty campaigns that require kyc. That leads us to the very important point of the obligatory need to state clearly from the beginning of the campaign if kyc will be necessary to participate or not. Everything else is just not fair, and represents a red flag for me. Just can be really disgusting if you worked for a project throughout the whole campaign just to find yourself in the dilemma of rejecting your reward by protecting your personal data or risk an potential breach of your personal data just to get what you honestly worked for and therefore deserve. But still I do think that there need to be measures against the heavy fraudulent activities going on in bounty campaigns.

I  support the author of the topic. Recently, even popular managers are increasingly resorting to tricks. This is done so that the bounty hunters do their work for free. To the ICO and the bounty, confidence has greatly decreased, it is time to change something.

Projects requiring to send them ETH is fraud. In such projects, it is not necessary to participate, and even more so to send them something. KYC is normal, and even good, will cut off half of the people using multi-accounts. But you need to be more careful and do not send photos of documents to incomprehensible organizations.

Dilemma on choosing up whether you comply the KYC process or just simply dont mind on your token share or salary on taking part of their bounty program. For most people this would really be a hard situation and for those who in need of money wont really have any choice but to comply with the things needed even they dont like the process. It sucks and even on my part i dont like for my identity to be exposed of even i dont need to hide something but i dont like my informations would float into internet world.

Recent on-board bounty programs find ways to limit the reward for the bounty hunter
- They asked for KYC after a few days and only announced it after the bounty program ended. These projects are increasing -> Should be announced from the beginning for the bounty hunter.
- Especially recently some projects have requested to send their ETH to receive tokens such as CIBUS, Betex ... These projects are managed by extremely prestigious managers such as needmoney .. -> This is not Acceptable and infuriating for all bounty hunters (there are those they just received ~ $ 10 but the fee they had to send ~ $ 4)
I find this to be unacceptable and create a bad precedent for forum projects. We have to speak up to protect the rights and efforts of the forum members

- i have no problem with kyc. actually, kyc should not be a problem for people.
- this is not cool. sending first ethereum to receive bounty token, smells for me like a scam.

apparently there are many bounty campaigns that act unfairly. good to know.  Roll Eyes

But it's so easy to make a fake identity or take disadvantage on KYC system. You can send customize I.D. or even a fake address, specially if the project is based on other country. Add the points of too many applicants, customers, participants or investors that need to send KYC, thousands of information will send day by day, so it means there are some fake accounts or KYC that will pass through on it.

KYC will be a problem if you are a bounty hunter with at least 10 accounts. You need to fill up those 10 or more account with different identity. That will be toxic and full of lies in the first place. KYC is counted as a safety measure too, if some one stole your account if you fill up your KYC verification, you can block immediately all the transaction and recover or lessen the loss of your account in specific project. What do you think?

Pleased with your support, this issue is only really important to new bounty hunters. But people want to receive a small amount from the bounty. Older members have other stable income sources such as trade and ICO, most of them just sign campaign.

Indeed, they can change specific laws in campaigns, but major laws must be explicitly announced. I think reputable bounty managers should speak out on this issue to ensure a proper orientation for future projects. They have to understand they pay for our work, but bounty hunters have to ask for free from them

The KYC is needed in some good projects to make sure you aren't using multiple accounts in bounty campaign. About send ETH to receive bounty token, it's not so good I think, I know 4 - 10$ is not a big money, but send ETH to get an altcoin, well quite risky...

Meanwhile, KYC is also important in order to show yourself that you are legit and in some ways it is redundant of the part of bounty hunters and investors to a certain program, aside from the fact that it takes time to process this, it is also a redundant on the part of the management where they need to check each and everyone.

On the part of sending ETH to receive the tokens, yes its more increasing nowadays, which is annoying and i didnt participate this type of airdrops, because in some ways, this might be a another way of scamming people, and in fact, some of this tokens dont really have value until this time.

Have a great day
