Hello
I just put a AMD Radeon HD 7970 in my computer and downloaded guiminer-scrypt_win32_binaries_v0.04 to my Windows 7 machine.
Running guiminer.exe fails everytime.
just simply does not open the icon pops up on the system tray but then its gone again but no window shows up at all.

Code:
ERROR:root:Exception:

Do you need guiminer for any particular reason? cgminer 3.7.2 works for scrypt-based mining.

I don't need guiminer its just the only one thats given me a error log to show. i have tried other miners and they just simply flash on then close.

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o **serveradress** -u **user.worker** -p **password** -I 13 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8192

Would be something to try as your .bat file

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177876.0

Edit: I think you just need to learn how to properly use cgminer. Have you read the entire scrypt-readme? It is perfect for a 7970, literally! You are using a version of cgminer that supports GPUs, right?

Please DO NOT send me private messages asking for help setting up GPU miners. I will not respond!!!

I use a .bat file to run cgminer and i have installed all the drivers including the sdk driver to. I nfronz .bat and it did not work just came up the went gray and stopped responding. i also looked at the link i have already tried that with no avail because my guiminer shows up in the taskbar but only as the icon because if i put my mouse over it and click on it or move my mouse away again it the icon disappears. it only stays on processes of a second then gone again.
