http://pool.pxlcoin.com may be stuck, sent trip a message - might be best to set round robin or something on cgminer to all three pools im not sure, but I think its likely working ok and just the front end isn't displaying the blocks found. stratum is working and on dashboard it says its working on the right block so I think its ok. I just hit a block aswell so its probably fine and will update eventually. |

Minar.cc pools are not running anymore, the domain was registered by someone else and I don't have any relationship with the new owner.

Why are there such big miners? Does this mean that this coin surely has a future? Or does it mean that it isn't profitable for us smallminers because they will dump for cheap?

what do you mean as 'large miners'? I can find blocks in solo even with 1.5 MHash rig , but I'm small GPU miner |

what do you mean as 'large miners'? I can find blocks in solo even with 1.5 MHash rig , but I'm small GPU miner I think he means the 10+MH's of which there are 5-6 pointed at pxl.minar.cc alone. I think it definitely a good sign. Those guys aren't going to even think about wasting their time on a non profitable coin or a coin with no future. They see the value in this for sure. They prolly have $100-200/day electric bills that need paying not to mention $100k hardware investments to pay off. Their hash is pointed wisely. I see this coin sticking around. It launched with everything in place and actually has ad revenue backing the value of the coin. All the cryptonerds who accept payment for webservices or sell hardware for crypto like that are going to want a spot on this page. This coin has more realworld value starting out then any of these crap coins have had after weeks of being around. I'm looking at you CAT and DOGE.  |

I think its a very unique project and that people will support it. I believe this is the first coin offering a service like this, and it will be very interesting to see what develops from this. even if you assume only the other people with pixels will be looking at the PXLCOIN site, you can expect a lot of market exposure. I suspect we will see some advertising, and some funnies. there is a limited amount of pixels to be released, and then it will slow down, so space will be limited, but the site will continue growing, so I think people will check back to see what has developed with the site every once in a while. I know I am totally curious to see what will actually happen here... |
