Thanks guys, we have been getting very positive feedback during our first couple days! We have also received a few requests to eliminate the buyer restrictions, so we have gone ahead and put some new auctions up on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/usr/pbminingCongratulations to ebay user sokaris91, who managed to steal 800MH/s of our hash power for $2.25!!!!

Another quick update on progress: Things are looking great and we are seeing some excellent progress. Remember, we are doing this for the customers protection because that is the most important to us. I am working very closely with the professionals over at SiteLock to secure our system security from ever being compromised again. We will also be aggressively introducing Cloudflare. Progression is still ongoing through this evening. Please allow us to work on getting the functionality returned before we do anything else. The hacker was gaining backdoor access to the site. I'm sure most of you understand how important it is to secure this issue. We are giving as many updates as we can in the day and we hope to have the issues resolved shortly. Your stats are not going anywhere, you are all accumulating bitcoins right now, its just that you cannot observe your stats. You can use a bitcoin profit caculator to verify that your bitcoins are being added properly. They are not going anywhere. Payday as usual will be next Sunday and you will all reap the rewards of it once again. I will update you guys in another couple hours. |

Finally we have some progress that you guys can actually see! Your global stats are back up, although they do not refresh every 2 seconds. We are slowly fixing things back up. Login and Payments sections have been temporarily disabled. At least we got the most important factor nearly fully resolved. Like I said, when this is all over I will be adding additional Bitcoins to those balances. Thank you everyone for being so patient! We're almost there!

Our team is coordinating with security professionals and is currently going through all of our user related pages eliminating all risks of script injections and exploits. Our last developer left the doors wide open so to speak. I thought it was going to be done yesterday after we got our firewall up, however it looks like it will be later today. Our global stats page being up is the main thing, as that was causing a lot of panic with it being down. Thank you all for being so patient with the other issues as well. |

I see you are focusing the right priorities. I don't get why people are so crazy about global stats. Could be a random number streched over time. Only payouts are important to me (and a real identity would give me additional trust). Related to security, it would make sense if you never let your webserver access the mining server. Perhaps push the mining stats to the webserver (but only in one direction). If then a potential attacker would take over your web server (or DNS!), he couldn't do anything with it. Let me know when I can help. As current customer I'm quiet interested that everything goes well I don't spend 1000$ every day... |

We have a perfect business model and so they want to attack us where we are weak, which is our lack of professional web development. I want to make one thing very clear, though. Your bitcoins are always going to be coming in. You will all be getting paid every Sunday for the agreed hash rate. They can bring the site down, they can rip it apart, but you will all still receive payments for your hash power. When we get the security back up, the website will be constructed from the ground up. I will have the best web developer and security experts that money can buy, and this will be the beginning of something special. Once we feel that security is no longer an issue I will be making a temporary database viewer so that you can monitor your stats. From that point, we will slowly introduce all the features back we had before. Yes the site will be down for a bit, but your bitcoins are flowing into your pockets as we speak. We apologize for the inconvenience and to be honest I have never worked so hard in my life to try to make something work. I will not give up. |

Update: I have a conference call scheduled with a team of developers Tuesday Morning at 11AM E.S.T.
This will really give me an idea of where we are headed this week with site development and security, and I am hoping we will be able to add new users by Friday and start taking orders again. Although it is critical we cover a better database strategy, my primary concern lies with a solid cross-checking system so that I can constantly compare databases for authenticity. Like I have said before, it's good this is happening early on and not later when we have 1000 customers.
There has been a few users asking us if we will take large orders during this phase. I have thought about this, and if we don't see enough progress by Wednesday or Thursday I will have to take you guys up on the offers. These funds could be used to fund the web development and since the difficulty is about to shoot up again, the price drop will present a good opportunity to jump in. I think 100GH/s would be considered minimum order size since anything smaller would cause a counterproductive distraction while we are trying to focus on the bigger things.

3 things I would like to cover:1. We are still uncertain whether the team will redesign the site we currently have, as a "patch and go" remedy (unlikely), or if they will be constructing the site from scratch. I spent some time showing them exactly what we need including our security requirements. We will know tomorrow in full detail with a much more concrete estimate on the timeline needed. 2. In the meantime, there is currently a large customer possibly interested in a 1TH/s contract. After this, we won't have much hash power left until we acquire more hardware. There may be a time when we are "maxed out" and cannot accept any more orders. To be fair to customers, I have given him until midnight (GMT - 6) to carry through with the order. If he does not, then I will be opening the doors to anyone who would like to make a significant purchase (100GH+). Smaller purchases will have to wait while we are working hard on restarting the site. The price will be updated after tonights difficulty hike, and so I will let you know what price we will be selling for. 3. Giveaway winners have not been forgotten! The winners list won't be updated as often as the global stats, but you will all be receiving an extra 10% on top of your prize just for being patient with us. |

Just a heads up, From this point on we will have a new rule, that any orders that are made must be sent FROM your listed payout address, which can never be changed. This will allow us to use the Blockchain ledger as solid proof during any potential disputes. This also prevents someone from imitating you and requesting an address change. I'm not sure why we didn't implement this rule to begin with, but this will solve a lot of potential problems with the way we do business. Thank you for understanding. There is a possibility that we may be refunding the large 500 GH/s order because of the odd way it was transacted, from many separate addresses. To protect ourselves, refunding this order is probably the best solution, and we feel that adjusting our rules accordingly will be the right choice. |

That was just an idea that is not looking too good. "Touche" to the recent responses.
We will be looking at other verification techniques.
How about this idea:
I simply publish a list of all contracts and their payout addresses on a page (without the personal info of course).
Think of it as a much more detailed "Global Stats" page.
Since anyone is able to save a copy at any point in time, digging through a cache history can always be used as a provable means to show that the customer numbers match up with their payout addresses. I believe this was a common technique used on BTC security exchanges to prove ownership of shares.
This can also be used on my end to ensure that the database is never "tampered" with. All I need to do is run a cross-checking script every time the database gets updated to make sure that only purchased contracts make it through.
This can be implemented right away, in less than a day.
