I'd appreciate a place in line or heads up when you've got slots open.

almost 8 btc back already by the way.

at the rate i'm seeing so far my best calculated guess right now for the contract is 36.89 btc... we'll see at the end how accurate that guess turns out to be Cheesy

well, i ended up with just under 35 btc for the week. (around 9% ROI)

annualized ROI = 9700% p.a.   (put in $1 and get $98 a year later)

Im curious why you'd do this? Whether you get the BTC revenue from mining or someone renting the farm, i dont quite see the point? Unless you have a small pool, with 9GH you wouldnt see a lot of variability over the course of a month...

BTW, however got that 30 day contract probably did a good deal as difficulty is about to drop quite a bit.

yeah that was me... i paid 150 btc for the 30 days and so far i'm projecting it to return at least 165 to 170 (a bit too early to guess yet, plus it looks like difficulty might drop again next week Cheesy)

i'll report back here with more specifics once the contract term ends (around oct 28).

We have discussed this at length in two threads now....go back and take a look.  It has to do with hedging future price risk.  Also, establishing a credible trading record was a secondary goal.

We probably mis-priced the 30 day contract, but live and learn.

well, the numbers are in and i just got a touch over 160 btc.

contract price: 150
contract length: 30 days
return: 160.51

R.O.I. 7%
annualised R.O.I. 128% p.a. (put in $1 and get $2.28 a year later)

so, compared to a standard bank account this is really great, but compared to my earlier luck with the 7-day contract (9700% p.a. ROI) it's been really disappointing.

yochdog cites the deepbit issues as the main reason for the low-ish outcome.

i was hoping the 2 difficulty drops would really increase the payouts, but it didn't have much effect.

You are correct....the Deepbit outage was brutal.  Not only did it cause mining stoppage for a prolonged period, it wreaked havoc on my miners and I had to go restart many of them manually.

I am glad you still made a good return, but apologize that it was not as much as before.  I guess using pools will always run that sort of risk, but still disappointing.

Thanks again for the business!

Hey all....just wanted to give a heads up that I added to the original post.  Pricing has changed due to difficulty drops as well as hashing power increases.

thanks!

Im also interested, but I would have to know about the pool and backup pools. It makes no sense for anyone to have those machine idle if a pool goes down.
