it's 1:50 chance. If he doesn't choose that one, would you order me to send it to your mom&dad?

I really can't believe how big of a hit that was. I highly recommend sending these to people without telling them. They get an anonymous package with a well-packaged, crisp hundred trillion dollar bill from Zimbabwe and all the can really say is, "What the fuck?".

You should include a service where you include notes composed with letters cut out of magazines.  Roll Eyes

I'd like to try a 1g silver bitcoin round.

Can you send an address to send the .5BTC to, you might have my details still on file

there's the issue of the shipping costs. they are usually covered with the first Z$ bill,
if you take one with the 1g coin, there will be no shipping costs.
single coin shipping would .315

I do not keep records of previous trades other than count of items exchanged, you'd need to PM me your address again.

as for the 1g rounds, they come in 2 types (look at the surface of B in the middle, it's either smooth of 'dotted'), can choose which one you want

Also evaluate the option to eventually go GLBSE and/or outsource the distribution.

So is this the same individual then?

probably was, the forum died in the meantime.
I would not mind selling the whole box with collectibles to the future Z$ exchanger (Z$, silver rounds, post stamps ...)

I've setup a bitmit auction as 'buy now item' and 'more than one available'
it will automate checkout, enable escrow of bitcoins (you will be asked to unfreeze them once you receive the mail) & the auction is here.

but the auction ID is not static. current id of the auction, part of the url, will change when next bill is relisted for sale whenever a bill is sold there.
they create new auction id for the remaining bills and the original url, previously advertised as open auction, with will lead to the now to a finished auction and not to the new, open one, with open buy option. this is a bit annoying. I'd prefer it the other way round.
let the this be a typical auction with more than 1 available items. when I sell one, the trade should get a new ID and have it's follow up there, leaving the url above unchanged as an open auction with more than 1 item available.

Right now I have no better idea how to permanently link to auctions at bitmit than link to "list of all my auctions/items for sale"
also I did not yet figured out how to enable buying more than 1 extra bill at bitmit nor how to receive email notifications when something traded. I figured out about my first transaction there by chance, only 2 days after it happened. There are sites I did not checked in a year or longer.

Cool...any chance of an option to add a silver round instead of additional Zim$ notes?

Last week I served my "100th bill". All orders that week got something extra included in the letter. If you ordered via Bitmit and wondered why you received "too many things" that's why. I was celebrating and every order was eligible ; )

Now for something serious. I tried to have more 1g silver art rounds produced. Seems the mint is not accepting new orders now, will keep 'us' informed. 'Us' is Mick - the author of the design and me, potential sponsor of next batch. So I've increased prices by 10% 'cause there will be no more restrikes. Bills ask did not change. Shipping neither. Still almost 30 stamps to go before we switch to board members of the bitcoin foundation.

Futher details on what that means?

hope this helps:

Type I coins are on the 0.85 eur stamp and the Type II coins are on the 1.10 eur stamp.
...
I do not intend to reorder stamps with bitcoin on them but rather will go with the bitcoin foundation board members in the near future. Charlie already approved the use of his face for the stamp, those will be the next 20 stamps. Face value depends on which ever post stamps I run out first. Customers from Europe or Worldwide can vote by placing an order. I also accept recommendations and read the forums. Or you can simply buy all my stock : )))

I had first batch of 20 stamps made last year, sold out in a week or two. Had them reprinted and added a new type (slightly different image and face value) and when those run out next stamps will feature Charlie from BitInstant. He already gave me permission to use his portrait on a customized stamp. No reply from Gavin. Not tried the other members yet since I had no previous contact with them I just did not want to jump on them with the post stamp idea. Anyway, lots of stamps on stock, will deal with it when type Charlie will be made and running low.

The idea is quite old, stamps with Bitcoin are nice idea (quoting Gavin 2011 here). But I want move on.
Btw the silver art rounds are no longer available from Mick, so another reason to stop promoting them on the post stamps.

Do you want more/less details?

Received everything in good condition last week...made a little display for my office with them:

I tried leaving a rating at #btotc:

Quote
[15:06] <salfter> ;;rate ptmhd 1 Received ZW$1T note & bitcoin 1g silver round in good condition
[15:06] <gribble> Error: You have to have received some ratings in order to rate other users.

 Huh

If you're new to it, someone has to rate you first before you can enter a rating?

(My IRC nick is the same as my username here.)

I like the display very much : )))

& I'm surprised that new user can not rate others unless he receives a rating first.
you're now rated at web of trust, the gribble bot should now process the ;;rate command w/o error
