Hello guys, i just have basic question. Do i need constant internet connection to mine crypto coins? For example can i mine them without connection and then just connect computer once a week for coins to be collected into wallet. Is that possible?

I assume that you do, just because of how crypto-currency work. You would need to keep up to date on the blocks that are being processing (The ones that you are mining). Otherwise you could be mining a block that is old and has already be mined. That just my guess, though.

Absolutely. You have to be connected to either the blockchain network of the coin to solo mine, or a mining pool to receive/send shares via pool mining.

I can't see any way around that.

Thanks both of you for reply, it just means i have to purchase wireless network card then, becouse my computer is in basement without reach of net cable.

You definitely needs an internet connections as this will keep you up to date, however it does not have to be a high speed broad band.

You can keep it simple.  Grin Grin Cheesy

would a mobile internet connection (3g or so) would keep a 5gh/s mining device going? How much traffic woudl such a device generate?
