I have a few of these coins I would like to sell, and am looking for 2.30BTC.

I will post pictures in a few hours, but the coins were received by me directly from Mike Caldwell (proof available) and only handled once when transferring to airtites, using a fresh pair of nitrile gloves The coins are basically perfect specimens.

I can do face-to-face in the Greater Toronto Area (Ontario) or am willing to go through any reputable escrow service. buyer pays (and can choose) shipping method, but CanadaPost Xpresspost is my preference.

sorry for the mediocre image quality. The coins are in great condition and I can try to take better photographs of a single coin if asked.

Will also accept cash for face-to-face transactions, based on https://bitcoinaverage.com/#CAD + 15%

back up to the top now that BTC is surging and these coins are becoming fewer!  *with every coin sold my price increases*

I thought I would get more interest at 2.5BTC, these are really beautiful coins!

Now 2.25BTC, shipping included - I would like to get a bit more liquidity that a stack of cold-storage coins affords me

I could, I would have to check the shipping costs though, since shipping outside north america adds about $20-30 to my postage

I'm still interested but will need to do some more checks on you before I decide it's a lot of money. Anyway is it possible to get some sort of tracking on the package and is there a risk that the customs will add some sort of fee?

I will have decided tomorrow Smiley

tracking: 100% - i would not consider shipping without a tracking number. Shipping would be around $50 depending on your postal code. I can send this with full declared sales value or simply the face value - Ive sent physical litecoins before without a problem, marking them as $10 "collectible coin"

Got one the other day, shipped very well and fast.

Thank You

I don't think 2.25 is high.
1btc doesnt count.
So you pay 1.25 btc for the coin itself.

I agree at 1,000$ btc that's to high. but with current pricing, 1.25 btc isn't even $1,000 and they were selling for more than $1,000 premium just a little while ago.

Good time to buy! Seller isn't adjusting his pricing based on FIAT!!

To be completely fair, Mike also mentioned that all additional silver coins will be produced on this silver and gold style, which will make the coin increasingly less rare as production continues.

There will only be 700 gold B coins compare to 1300 all silver coins. No more will ever be created by Mike. Heck, he doesn't even make ANY coins at all at the moment !

^this. these are probably one of the lowest-mintage 1BTC coins made by casascius (correct me if i am wrong please), not counting rarities in the 5BTC and up face value. For a single 2013 gold/silver coin, there are something around 10x as many 2013 brass or 2012 brass

That's not true. Mike is still making coins by invitation only, he's going to those people who have bought from him in the past to solicit new orders. It's all on his blog --> http://casascius.wordpress.com/2013/04/01/orders-now-accepted-by-invitation-only/ . Scroll down to the question "What does this mean for silver coins? I expect that I will sell the silver coins, when available, only in mint tubes of 20."

your article is more than 1 year, 2 months old. have you seen any 2013 coins that are higher than '1Ag6', let alone a 2014 Casascius?

Mike stopped producing coins. find me a 2014 Casascius and I will eat my words.

ps: my price is firm - Im not selling single coins for lowballing prices. i may be willing to bundle 2-3 coins together for a SMALL discount, but nowhere near the 2.1BTC offer

Klondike, that's fair...I haven't seen, read, or heard about any 2014 coins yet.

I'd be interested in one coin for about $1000. 2.1 BTC (or more) is above what these coins are selling for on other forums (just sharing what i'm seeing else where.) Further, one BTC is about $650 right now, the oz. of silver is $21, the ANACS is (generously) $50, so that's a tangible value of $721. I'm willing to pay a ~$250 premium for the allure of Casascius. That's my logic for the bid.

Let me know if/when you want to discuss/negotiate a deal.

Good luck with your sale! I hope you get as much as people are willing to pay for them!

while I have enough coins to do that, i would rather keep my collection intact for a few years by selling a coin here and there rather than selling the majority in a single discounted purchase - I hope you can understand. I could sell 3 coins for 6.75BTC and include shipping in that (insurance would be extra if you want the package marked at sale value). Escrow is not a problem, but I would ask you pay the escrow fee. Elianite is a good forum member who may do a 0.5% escrow or less for a quick-turnover sale by me.

(generally, ive been shifting my price upwards slightly with every coin sold - I am more than happy to sit on these until 2020 because i know they are true collectors items, but at the right price selling a coin improves my liquidity to buy mining hardware)

If you have them would you be prepared to do ten @ 2.15 BTC = 21.50 BTC inclusive of signed for shipping to the States and escrow?

while I have enough coins to do that, i would rather keep my collection intact for a few years by selling a coin here and there rather than selling the majority in a single discounted purchase - I hope you can understand.

OK then 6.75 BTC for three, if you could do 11 BTC for five that would be better for me or more at the same price.

How about asking Yankee to do the escrow, if he was willing - I expect that he would be as he's already doing one for me atm:

2.1 pretty good offer... Not seen these actually sell for more than 2.  I keep seeing everyone ask more and lower the prices over and over....

There are only 700 of these coins, making it [one of] the rarer casascius 1BTC coins. I am quite happy holding them for as long as it takes to sell them at my price-point, which is competitive with others on these forums and perhaps the cheapest option for Canada

An informed consumer keeps the market efficient.

your article is more than 1 year, 2 months old. have you seen any 2013 coins that are higher than '1Ag6', let alone a 2014 Casascius?

Mike stopped producing coins. find me a 2014 Casascius and I will eat my words.

ps: my price is firm - Im not selling single coins for lowballing prices. i may be willing to bundle 2-3 coins together for a SMALL discount, but nowhere near the 2.1BTC offer

Klondike, I did more reading on this forum about Mike's intentions. I found some posts directly from him that do back up your claims that he's not making this variety of coins currently or potentially going forward. These comments are dated more recently than the wordpress blog post I referenced earlier.

Here's some proof that Mike's been producing the gold B coins in 2014, I only counted 11 though.

I just want to make sure that when people say "these will never be made again" that they're held accountable. Crypto-currency was created to (among many things) provide equality - if some of us are misleading the buying public then some of us need to make sure we do some fact checking. There are also casascius 2011 error coins funded in 2012. Some 25 BTC casascius coins have the 2011 date stamped but were funded in 2012, 2013....you get the picture   Roll Eyes

If you can show me a coin with the 2014 date stamped on it I will be pleasantly surprise.....

It could be that he sold unfunded coins and the buyer funded the coins after getting it.

no way - Mike said that would not happen due to security concerns, because if it did it would destroy the illusion of security for ALL casascius coins

I bought one of these from Klondike a couple of weeks ago. I took a risk and didn't escrow. Coin arrived safe and sound within three days of payment. Great communications. Totally trustworthy seller.

+1 for another successful sale of these beautiful coins. Personally I like these over the all silver coins.

The rarity of 700 of the gold B coins compare to the 1300 for the all silver ones, let alone the extra effort Mike Cladwell had to go through to add the gold plating to it, is well deserving of Klondike's firm grip on the price of these coins.

I also have a few of these coins just in case someone wants a local seller in the USA.

Potentially interested in one of these, but the lasering of the hologram edges looks really uneven. Do you have any with an even melt ring? Pics would be appreciated as well Smiley

No longer buying/selling Casascius coins. Beware scammers.

I have a bit of variety - I know exactly what detail you are talking about Smiley As can be expected some coins have a better-centered hologram than others with the precision of the lasering.

It may be a few days before pictures, but I definitely have a few with slightly more even holograms. Might be looking just a smidge higher for prices on them though since I expect they could grade that extra MS-01 higher in a few examples.
