As usual, promoting low power use and not posting price  It wasn't a sale offer, but an RFI. The beta units in China were offered for a little under $200 ea. Expect some distribution markup, shipping. I'm keen to get a quote on chips in bulk myself. |

He sells 300 kh / 80 GH USB machine for 500$ /piece

He must have meant 8 Gh that is the output of 1 USB miner if you chain 10 together with a USB hub and wiibox you get ~3 Mh/s + 80 Gh/s, but there has been some problems with dual mode and another controller has been needed. |

Scrypt asics obliviously need to be less than the current GPUS for people to even really think about shifting away from them.

Prices way to high, for scrypt GPUs are almost cheaper and GPUs are easier to sell if you don't need them anymore

FWIW, many FPGA bitcoin miners made out reasonably well relative to GPU miners even though the FPGAs were higher $/MH/s just due to lower power costs and secondary costs (e.g. motherboards/cpu/ram/power supplies) per hashrate. Make sure you consider these costs in your comparisons.

These costs are still low when your adding 5-8 gpus that do 2-3x more hash than this. Dont get me wrong thou, i love the idea of this product and would love to get some, but at $500 for 300kh its abit steep. |
