Just started mining on DwarfPool. I had been using MMCPool, but I might switch since this one's 0% fee.

Thanks!

Just received thank you.

Question : I noticed the miner is taking only 2 cores on my 4 cores available. Is that expected, is my memory the bottleneck, which makes the miner not to use more cpus ?

Probably as the miner uses 1gb memory per core. Do you have 2gb RAM?

4gb, the miner takes two cores at full speed and about 2,1 GB. I have 1,2 Gb physical memory left . I tried to run an extra miner, and this one takes one core in addition of the two but I indeed get some log indicating a self adaptation based on memory :

" OK: MMC optimizations are compatible
MemoryCoin: Memory usage 1024M per thread, determine Algorithm Variation by fine
tuning
Using 1 mining threads
Warning: MemoryCoin2 memory block for thread 0 allocated in non-hugepages memory
 - thread performance may degrade"

I guess I shall stick to only 2 cores

Edit : figured it out, when you launch the miner make sure you have a relevant multiple of 1024 MB free , that multiple will be used for threads initiation.
