Hey guys I was curious on how to jump a PCI-16x slot on my motherboards.

The motherboards seem not to recognize the GPUs using a powered riser in the 16x slot.
I have found 1x slot jumper instructions but not the 16x. My 1x slots work fine without needing to be jumped. I currently have 5 GPUs running on both. With 2 power supplies on each.

Motherboards:
- Asrock H81 BTC Pro
- MSI Z87-G45

Thanks

Same pins need to be shorted be it 1x or 16x.

Where were you able to buy the Asrock motherboard? Can't find them anywhere.

Thanks for the link.

I use the wires from a CAT-5e networking cable. Gotta sacrifice a cable to get 'em, but they're just about perfect. Have fun fitting them in the holes!  Tongue

So from the picture in this demonstration how would I do it in a 16x slot?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=36061.0

Would I do the same put one side in the pin A1 and the other in pin b17 or would I do pin A1 and then the send to last pin of the 16x slot.

Thanks

In that thread above a poster said:

"If you short out pin A1 and B17 on the x16 slot the motherboard will not power on. You MUST short out pin A1 and B81 - B81 is the second to last pin at the very end of the slot."
